There are 3 sections of black single rows and 3 sections of white single rows in Fairview. They were sold one space at a time as needed. Nothing to do with money. There are doctors, dentists, etc buried in these rows. The families did't have or didn't want to buy a full lot and only needed one space at the time. |

Born in Illinois in 1908, the son of Kate and Michael Farrell, I can only find him in the 1910 and 1930 census. Both times, he was living in Craig Co, Oklahoma. I know nothing else about him, like when he died or whom he married. Any help on Lamoine would be greatly appreciated. In 1930, he was 22 y/o and working as a farm laborer. Thanks, Donna Crawley |

Frances and her family lived in Imperial Beach, CA. in the years approximately between 1952-1954. She was attending Southwest Jr. High School, when her family returned to Vinita, Ok. We were very good friends in school. We lost contact somehow, but I have thought of her throughout the years. I know for sure that she had one brother, but I can't remember if there were other children in the family. If anyone knows this name or anything about this family I would love to find out about them. I don't even know if they stayed in Vinita, but from what I remember that was originally there home. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, Connie (Ramos) Winterton |

Hello, At the moment I do not have an obit on Flora Renard, but I do have one on her son, Paul which I have attached. I have quite a number more obit scrapbooks of my mother's, Eunice Hightower, 89, of Vinita, OK to index so there is still the possibility that there is one of Flora, but not at this time. |

Hello, You can write to the Craig County Ok courthouse and get a copy of the marriage license. I'm not sure of what the charge is. You could call them first to inquire of the charge. There isn't any need to pay a researcher for this service when you can do it yourself at a nominal fee. Just a friendly suggestion. |

Hello, I went to school in Vinita, OK with some of the Elsey kids 1956-1961. I have not had contact with them since then. My mother, Eunice Hightower, 89, of Vinita, OK has prepared a collection of newspaper clippings of obits, weddings and anniversaries and I have seven volumes (each about 200 pages)online at the Rootsweb FreePages (link later in this letter). I have tried to keep a list of persons who wrote to me about getting a scan of the obits and there was one lady who was part of that family. She did not have much luck with one of the family that she contacted there, but perhaps she was fortunate in finding out about her Elsey family that she needed. She was: |

Hello, I'm sorry, but the scanned obit of Dewey Elsey didn't turn out very readable, so I have typed it up. I didn't have a 'date' for the obit, so have looked it up in the Social Security Death Index online. Go to http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/ and click on Index and Database of Indian Rolls. Scroll down to Dawes Final Rolls and click on that. Then type in Perry as last name and Samuel as first. It brings up two Samuel Perry's (Cherokee) with the same card no. Click on the card #4429 and this brings up the family listed on the census card. I would say this is your family. |
