Query posted by Ellertson, Carolyn on October 31, 2001 for , HORN, VAIL

My great grandmother was married (#2) to John Horn, a son of Jeremiah Horn and Elsie Hicks. Any connection to your own Horns? Also trying to help my cyber cousin find Jeremiah Horn's first wife. Do you think any of those other people you referred to might have a clue? We aren't having much luck on that one. Most records just say "unknown white wife". E-mail me at home if you can at CEllertson@aol.com. Many thanks!

Talahina is in Latimer county in southeast Oklaoma. Have no idea if the Craigs in that area are any kin to the Craigs in this area. Suggest you get on the Latimer and surrounding counties message boards.

There are a few Walker ones on the Craig county webpage. However Russell Creek was published years ago in book form which cannot be put on the web, same for Fairview in Vinita. A friend of mine and I have or are in the process of reading and publishing all Craig county cemeteries, so write to me privately and will see if I can help with the correct spellings.
There are no burial records for most of these cemeteries.

Hello,
Thank you for responding. I'm hoping to find other reserchers of these suranames in the area & learn more about these ancestors. Also, places where buried for Florence Ulrich and Winnifred/Winny Bradley, [both died in Kansas City area, but believed buried in Craig Co]. Also trying to prove a connection between Bradley's of Craig Co & Bradley of Stillwell, OK [ca 1906]. Ancestors mentioned above had no children. Florence & Winnie had previous unknown marriages with no children. John Riley Pittman, father of the above mentioned, died in Aug 1938 in Vinita.

John R. Pittman aged 85 died Tues. before 8-25-1938 five miles south of Vinita. Funeral arrangements were by Pryor Funeral Home. He is buried at Rose Cemetery southeast Mayes county not far from (2 mi) of AR line. East of Locust Grove about 8 miles. Suggest you check with Pryor funeral homes, there are three. One of them probably has the records of the old Pryor F.H.. Suspect rest of family is in same area.

The hospital apparently has a list but no one has been allowed to see it. If she died 1965-67, would suggest you write to the 2 local funeral homes as they took turns monthly taking care of burials for the hospital. Also, she may be buried in the city cemetery (unmarked) instead of the hospital cemetery which is 90% unmarked.

Pebsworth, Horn, Reeder, Radker   340

Query posted by Soft_Doll on December 31, 2001 for PEBSWORTH

Searching for any information on Annie Mae Horn Pebsworth aka Anna Marie Reeder. Married to James Lee Pebsworth in the Chickasaw Nation in 1905 at the age of 18. Gave birth to a son in "Ada", May 1908, possibly as a "single" parent. Could have lived with a family member name Reeder or friend. Annie would have been 21 at the time of the birth, she was born in 1887. Have heard she could have been of Cherokee decent. Also could have used the name of Radker.
