Funeral services for Morris E. WADE, 70, of Guthrie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Joe Dan Fowler will officiate the ceremony and burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Morris was born on Nov. 15, 1919 in Merrick, Oklahoma, to John and Edith WADE. He died April 28, 1990 in Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Hazel, of the home; two sons, David, and Jerry; a sister, Flora Belle, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services for Mary Grace BRIDAL, 88, of Cashion, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Cashion Methodist Church, Cashion. Rev. Jim Jones will officiate, with burial in the Cashion Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. BRIDAL was born November 2, 1901 in Mulhall to William and Ella SCOTT. She died May 1 at Bellevue Nursing Home, in Oklahoma City. Mrs. BRIDAL is survived by her husband, John, of the home; son, Arthur; daughter, Dr. Loy Donna; two sisters, Alice A. and Lela; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Funeral services for Ophelia WILKERSON FRANKLIN, 80, of Guthrie, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Church of the Living God, with burial at Summit View Cemetery, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Elder B.E. Hall will officiate the service. Mrs. FRANKLIN was born July 19, 1909 in Clearview, Oklahoma to Joe and Lula (WILLIAMS) WILKERSON and died April 30, 1990 at her home in Guthrie. She married Theodore R. FRANKLIN on October 5, 1924, in Clearview. He preceded her in death October 29, 1984. Survivors include two sons, Oemer and Joseph; seven daughter, Dorothy, Peggy, Jewell, Ernestine, Yzella, Bettye, and Norvella; a sister, Ruby; two nephews, Maurice and Marvis.

Funeral services for Nellie Mae OTT, 80, of Guthrie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith Memorial Chapel. Brothers Wayne Murphy and Carl Shaffer will officiate the service, with burial at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in Arcadia, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Mr. OTT was born November 29, 1909 in Texline, Texas to Marion and Mary Lula White. She died May 1 at Rt. 5, Box 376, Guthrie. Mrs. OTT is survived by two daughters, Zelda Mae and husband, Raymond and Vivian; brother, Roy; sister, Mary; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, one son, her parents, four brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

Funeral services for Harold CORNISH, 47, of Chanute, Kan., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Living Word Assembly Church of Chanute with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was the son of Eugene and Polly CORNISH and on October 3, 1965 he married Teresa ARNOLD, daughter of Walter and Violet ARNOLD, of Guthrie. Mr. CORNISH died May 1 at his home in Chanute. He is survived by his wife, Teresa, of the home; three sons, Brian, Blake and Chad; daughter, Laurie; two brothers, Jim and Richard; and a sister, Carol.

Memorial services are scheduled for Elva Mae EDWARDS, 47, at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Harmony Church on Pennsylvania Avenue west of Guthrie. She died in Tallahassee, Fla. April 9. She is survived by her husband, Charles EDWARDS, Cedar Valley; one daughter, Andrea; her mother, Jessie WELCH; her father Jack BLAIR; one sister and four brothers. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathee BAKER.

Graveside services are scheduled for Lila Mae JELSMA, 89, of Guthrie at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Summit View Cemetery with Rev. Charles Ragland officiating. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Lila was born on April 23, 1901 in Guthrie to Frank and Elizabeth CHARVOZ. She died May 4, 1990 at Guthrie Retirement and Care Center. She is survived by one son, Lawrence Franklin; one daughter, Stella; one sister, Frances; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Lila was preceded in death by her husband Andrew JELSMA in 1968, one brother and one sister.

Graveside funeral services for Jimmie D. ASHWORTH, 62, of Guthrie, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Summit View Cemetery, Rev. Joe Fowler will officiate and burial will be in Summit View under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie. Jimmie was born March 30, 1928 in Guthrie, to Joseph and Mary ASHWORTH. He died May 6, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. He is survived by two brothers, Jack C. And Carl.; and a sister, Mary Helen; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Delta Inez LIGETT, 86, of Guthrie will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Davis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Shackford officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Delta was born Sept. 11, 1903 in Clarkridge, Tenn. to Steven and Anna PETERS. She died May 5 at the Masonic Home for the Aged. She married Carl LIGETT November, 1922 in Stilwell. He died in 1971. She is survived by one daughter, Thelma; two brothers, Irvan and Ernest; three sisters, Marie, Reba and Juanita. Mrs. LIGETT was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Graveside services are scheduled for Rose N. LOVELL, 91, of Guthrie at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City with Rev. Robert McMasters officiating under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Rose was born Aug. 14, 1898 in Buck Head, Okla. She died May 6 at the Masonic Home for the Aged. She is survived by one nephew, Noble.

Funeral services for Mamie R. REYNOLDS, 92, of Guthrie will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeside United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City with Rev. Randy Crownover. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Mamie was born Dec. 3, 1897 in Amarillo, Texas to George and Dorcas "GRENWELL" DENTON. She died May 5 at the Masonic Home for the Aged. She is survived by one son, Robert; one grandson. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Richard FENT, 72, of Mulhall, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church, Orlando, Oklahoma. Rev. Martin Polson will officiate the ceremony and burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Orlando, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Richard was born on July 12, 1917 in Fallis, Oklahoma, to Horace and Elizabeth FENT. He died May 14, 1990 in Stillwater Medical Center, Stillwater, Oklahoma. He married Francis FREY, September 27, 1941 in Norman. She survives at the home in Mulhall. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Elizabeth FENT; three sons, Gary; Lynn and wife, Cloyann; and Craig and his wife, Tommie; two brothers, Melvin, and Raymon ; two sisters, Leona and Cleo; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Mr. Theodies Harlan HOLLAND died Friday, May 11, at his home in Langston after a lengthy illness. He was 79. He was born on July 16, 1910, in Whiteplains, New York. He married Fannie BUTLER on November 22, 1941 in Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Fannie, of the home in Langston; four sons, Darrell, Don, Theodies H .II and Earl O.; three daughters, Janie L., Fannie Berene and Doris E.; and 13 grandchildren. His body will be cremated and no services are planned. Local arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Funeral services for Ella Lee TETER, 99, of Guthrie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Noble Avenue Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Stevens will officiate the service, with burial at Summit View Cemetery, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Mrs. TETER was born June 8, 1890 in Celina, Texas to John and Mary "DEFREECE" WOOD. She died May 13, at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She married Samuel TETER July 5, 1910 in Glenco. Mr. TETER died April 13, 1966. She is survived by her son, Samuel W.; four daughters, Nita, Doris, Lorene and Ann; half-sister, Susie; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. TETER was preceded in death by four sisters, a brother, a half-sister, a half-brother, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Frank Edwin "Ed" TOWLE, 84, of Chanute, Kan., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Chanute, Rev. Marilynn Gregory and Rev. Jack Gregory will officiate the service, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, under the direction of Johnson Mortuary, Chanute. Mr. TOWLE was born June 30, 1905 in Guthrie to Walter and Elida "VINCENT' TOWLE. He died May 13 at his home in Chanute. He married Edith MEININGER June 30, 1924 in Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Edith, of the home; son, Russell; three daughters, Irene, Mary and Lula Mae; three brothers, Hervy, Walter and Chester; sister, Armintha; eight grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Mr. TOWLE was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and two grandsons.

Funeral services for Floyd Vernon HAWS, 87, of Guthrie, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Guthrie. Rev. Charles Reyser will officiate the service, with burial at Kingfisher Cemetery, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Mr. HAWS was born November 10, 1902 in Pawnee, Indian Territory to John F. and Fannie "ELLISON" HAWS. He died May 17 at Colonial Estates. He married Mary Laura FRANCIS December 26, 1924 in Wellington, Kan. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home in Guthrie; three sons, Kenneth R., Norman R., and Jerry M.; daughter, Carol Lee; brother John F.; two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mr. HAWS was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Madge LOCKWOOD and Pearl WARD, and one brother, Riley HAWS.

Funeral services for Selma Wilhilmine Threse SIMPSON, 91, of Guthrie will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Seward Road Baptist Church in Guthrie. Rev. Bill Mayo will officiate the ceremony and burial will be in Seward Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Selma was born on Feb. 3, 1899 in Nemaha Co., Nebraska, to Heinrich and Mathilda BOHLEKEN. She died May 15, 1990 in Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by five sons, Ben, Jerome, Doug, Dee and Leonad;  two daughters, Ferne and Mary; two brothers, Alfred and Leonard; a sister, Gent; 34 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Butler SIMPSON; two sons, Eugene and Dale; two great grandchildren; her parents, three sisters and a brother.

Graveside services for Lena Mae CUTTER, 83, of Crescent, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Covington Cemetery, under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home, of Crescent. Rev. Mark LeMarr will officiate the service. Mrs. CUTTER was born September 23, 1906 in Kingfisher County to Mr. and Mrs. Eli COOPER. She died May 16 at Crescent Care Center. She was married to Raymond Eugene CUTTER in 1938, in Enid. He died in 1956. She is survived by one son, Raymond; four sisters, Margaret, Cora, Nora, and Carolyn; four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Cecil A. DICKERSON, 89, of Crescent, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Abernathy Funeral Home Chapel, in Crescent. Rev. Bill Brokaw will officiate the service, with burial at Oakland-Knowles Cemetery, under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home. She was born March 7, 1901 in Earlsboro, Okla. to George Washington TAYLOR and Harriet MADOLE. She died May 17 at Mercy Health Center, in Oklahoma City. She married William Oscar DICKERSON March 14, 1918 in Canadian, Texas. He died July 16, 1977. She is survived by three sons, Willie O. , Carl Wayne and Cecil Gene; two daughters, Ruby Irene and Millie; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Mrs. DICKERSON was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Ora O. HATHORN, 86, of Meridian, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Baptist Church, Meridian. Rev. Elvin Mack will officiate the ceremony and burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Logan County, directed by Smith Funeral Home. Ora was born on January 7, 1904, in Jackson County, Georgia, to Peter and Lucy MACK. She died May 15, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by three sons, George W., William and Eddie; three daughters, Virginia, Marguerite and Betty Jean; two brothers, Tommy and Roosevelt; a sister, Nellie; 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur, in 1968, her parents and 19 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Jesse POTEET, 59, of Hennessey, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Chapel Church, in Hennessey. Burial will be in the Union Chapel Church Yard Cemetery. Mr. POTEET was born July 1, 1930 in Sasakwa, Okla. He died May 14 in Oklahoma City. Mr. POTEET is survived by his wife, Arleen, of the home; daughter, Theresa; son, Boyd; three grandchildren; two sisters, Lee and Ann; two brothers, Cecil and Bill.

Eugene Wilson SWAN of Ramona, Okla., died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Swan is survived by his wife, Dorothy Alice of Tulsa; two daughters, Dianne S. and Pamela; a son, Steven Mitchell; his mother, Lydia Eve; and granddaughter; two stepsons, Gerald Wayne and Robert; four stepdaughters, Sharon Kay, Francie, Avalene, and Judith; 13 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandsons.

Funeral services for Wilda L. OLTMANNS, 91, of Crescent will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Crescent with Rev. Randy Beeman officiating. She will be buried at Crescent Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home, Crescent. Mrs. OLTMANNS was born April 22, 1899 in Columbia Community, east of Dover, to Josh and Julia (AXLEY) McCANDLESS. She died May 21 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. She is survived by three sons, Harold, Richard, Robert; one daughter, Opal; one brother, Woodrow; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. OLDMANNS was preceded in death by her husband in 1984, her parents and one brother.

Funeral services for Jacqueline CANFIELD, 66, of Guthrie were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Davis Funeral Chapel. Father Richard Beckman officiated the service and burial was at Memory Gardens, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Mr. CANFIELD was born February 12, 1924 in Richfield, N.C., to Samuel W. and Dellie Jane "CANUPP" CRANFORD. She died May 19 in Midwest City Regional Hospital, Midwest City. She married John S. CANFIELD on October 6, 1946 in Richfield N.C. He survives at the home in Guthrie. In addition to her husband, Mrs. CRANFIELD is survived by two sons, Mike and Tim; two daughters, Diane and Cindy; two brothers William L. and Fletcher; two sisters, her twin, Josephine and Marie; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Mrs. JONES was born April 15, 1914 in Marshall to Bert and Margaret "BEEBY" SCOTT. She died May 23 at Bethany. She married Audie William JONES July 25, 1936 in Lucene, Okla. He died May 19, 1986. She is survived by her son, Max; daughter, Mary; sister, Alice; two brothers, Bill and Burton; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Mrs. JONES was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

She was born April 9, 1907 in Lovell, Oklahoma, to William E. And Tina Jane "CLUB" FOLSOM. She died May 24 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Charles S. HATHAWAY, of Guthrie; two daughters, Betty and Mary Jane; two sisters, Nancy and Nellie. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and five brothers.

Funeral services for Joseph HEDGECOCK, 78, of Guthrie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Charles Ryser will officiate and burial will be in Seward Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Joseph was born on July 27, 1911 in Navina, Oklahoma to Joseph and Florence HEDGECOCK. He died May 24, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Wilma June HEDGECOCK, Guthrie; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Don; a brother, Oris; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dr. Dennis Clark will officiate the ceremony and burial will be in Summit View under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Mr. DRENNING was born Dec. 18, 1913 in Cokesville, Penn., the son of Thomas R. and Bessie M. (MUNDORFF) DRENNING. He died May 28, 1990 in Eufaula Manor Nursing Home, Eufaula, Oklahoma. He married Pauline Geneva MANERS in Guthrie on Jan. 4, 1934. She preceded him in death Feb. 1980. He is survived by one daughter, Barbara; two brothers, George and Eugene; two sisters, Floretta and June; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr. DRENNING was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Vivian ANDREWS on May 22, 1989, and six brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian burial services for Juanita ELLISON, 70, of Guthrie, were held at 2 p.m. today at St. Marys Catholic Church, Guthrie. Father Richard Beckman officiated the service, and burial was at Lawrie Cemetery, Guthrie, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie. She was born September 25, 1919 in Amarillo, Texas to Jesse and Bertha FRY. She died May 26 at Guthrie Retirement and Care Center. She is survived by her husband, Raymond, of the home in Guthrie; two sons, Robert and his wife, Beth Ann, Roy and his wife, Susie; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Frank, Quanna Sue and Ben, Deana Jean and Alan; one sister, LaJuanta; two half brothers, Paul and Jim; three half-sisters, Marilyn and Maidelle and Jean; 19 grandchildren, four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant son, one daughter, her parents and stepfather. Rosary services were conducted Monday evening by the Catholic Daughters of America.

Funeral services for former Crescent resident, Ernest O. "Sonny" PACKARD, 49, of Wichita, Kan. will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Abernathy Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark LeMarr will officiate the service, with burial at Oakland-Knowles Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home, of Crescent. He was born April 11, 1941 at Crescent to Willard and Marie "WRIGHT" PACKARD. He died May 27 at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. Sonny married Dorothy PETERSON March 11, 1967 in Enid. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home in Wichita; one daughter, Marie; one stepson, Daniel; one stepdaughter, Mary Ellen; one half brother, Billy Dean; three half sisters, Darlene, Linda and Susan; and one granddaughter. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents.

Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Mrs. BOGUE was born Aug. 13, 1898 in Laura, Ill. to William E. and Ida Mae (HARRIS) WASSON. She died May 29 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by two daughters, Mildred E. and Priscilla Jane; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services for Andrew BORRESON, 75, of Guthrie, will be held at 11 a.m. June 1 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Walker officiating the services. Mr. BORRESON was born April 17, 1915, at Omaha, Neb. to Edward and Mary BORRESON. He died May 26 at Coles Rest Haven Nursing Home. He married Gladys CANNING Sept. 5, 1973 in Chickasha. Mr. BORRESON is survived by his wife, Gladys, of the home; one son, Leroy; one daughter, Gayle; two stepsons, Leeroy and Charles; two stepdaughters, Viola and Peggy; three brothers, Earnest, Elmer and Alfred; two half-sisters, Stella and Alice. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services for Mr. Thurman CALLAHAN, 81, of Guthrie, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 401 S. Broad. Rev. Hersey Hammons will officiate the service and burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Pollard Funeral Home Inc., Guthrie. Mr. CALLAHAN was born May 19, 1909 and died May 29, 1990 at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Loletta, of the home in Guthrie; one brother, Roy; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Glenn D. ROGERS, 52, will be held at 10 a.m. at the Abernathy Funeral Chapel with Dr. Fred C. Williams officiating. Rev. Floyd Griffin will officiate the graveside service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Park Cemetery in Mountain Park under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home in Crescent. Rogers died Wednesday at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. He was born March 27, 1938 and was the son of Henry H. ROGERS and Ada SMITH ROGERS. He married Pam GRAFF June 6, 1980 in Crescent. Rogers is survived by his wife, Pam of home in Crescent, six children, Travis, Traci; Nikki, Lori, Jason, Wendi; three brothers, W.D., Coy C., and Joe N.; two sisters Jean and Laverne; and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
