Funeral services for Logan County resident Johnnie F. STRAUSBAUGH, 71, were held at 10 a.m. today at Bill Merritt Funeral Chapel in Bethany. Rev. Bob Brown officiated the service and burial was at Resthaven Cemetery in south Oklahoma City. All arrangements were under the direction of Bill Merritt Funeral Service. Johnnie was born January 12, 1919 in Davenport, Okla. He died October 29 at his southern Logan County home. He is survived by his wife, Louise, of the home; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

Funeral services for Geraldine F. MARTIN, 71, of Guthrie, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Smith Memorial Chapel. Dr. Dennis Clark and Rev. Charles Ragland will officiate the ceremony and burial will be in Lawrie Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. MARTIN was born Feb. 14, 1919 in Seward, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Orpha KNOX. She died Nov. 2, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center in Guthrie after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Marvin E. "Gene" MARTIN, Guthrie; a son, Butch; two daughters, Dorothy and Gerrye; 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Funeral services for former Guthrian, Iley Willie STEVENSON, 55, of Clinton, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Tucker, Rev. W.B. Mucker and Rev. Billy Mucker. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley Lee Funeral Home in Clinton. He was born October 6, 1935 to Iley, Sr. and Ellen STEVENSON in Elmore City, Okla. Mr. STEVENSON died October 31. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Velma, of the Clinton home; four daughters, Deborah, Shirley, Nancy and Veleria; four sons, Michael, Anthony, Willie Jr., and Jeffrey; his mother, Ellen; one sister, Ellen Marie; two brothers, Henry and Austin; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and one step-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services for Clayton HARLAN, 87, of Guthrie will be held Friday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel. Mr. HARLAN died Nov. 6 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. The service will be officiated by Rev. Leroy Samuels and Dr. Dennis Clark. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie. He was born May 14, 1903 in Kentucky to Buford and Daisy HARLAN. He married Elsie NICHOLAS on April 23, 1924 in Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Elsie, of the home in Guthrie; two sons, Marvin and Jerry; one daughter, Jean; two sisters, Inis and Irene; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter and one grandson.
Funeral services for L. U. MARANG, 73, of Guthrie, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Les Pope. Graveside services will follow at 4 p.m. at Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeville, Kan., officiated by Frank Marang. All arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, in Guthrie. He was born April 16, 1917 in Vinita, Okla. to Frank and Dora "HEAD" MARANG. Mr. MARANG died November 6 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. He married Edith ARGYLE June 1, 1965 in Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Edith, of the Guthrie home; four sons, Larry, Philip, Greg and David; two daughters, Patricia, and Carol; five stepsons, Richard, Ralph, Kenneth, Dale and Daryl; two stepdaughters, Naomi and Corene; one brother, Frank; four sisters, Edna, Vinita, Elsie, Vera and Mildred; 29 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. DONIHOO was born July 18, 1913 in Navina, Oklahoma, to Andrew and Carrie DONIHOO. He died Nov. 8, 1990 at his home. He married Bethie Mae JOHNSTON on Sept. 23, 1933 in Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Bethie Mae, of the home; two sons, Dewey and Rickey; a daughter, Betty; a brother, Herman; a sister, Ines; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jerry.

Mr. EATON was born on March 7, 1925, in Lenora, Kansas, to Albert and Sarah EATON. He died Nov. 10, 1990 at Veterans Medical Center, Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Vernia, of the home in Guthrie; two sons, Kevin, and Curtis; two daughters, Belinda and Tammy; two brothers, Paul and Jim; three sisters, Mary, Allie and Elizabeth; seven grandchildren and two great grand children. Mr. EATON was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services for former services Guthrian William F. (Frank) JONES, 79, of Del City, will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Shartel Church of God, 11600 S. Western, in Oklahoma City. Interment will follow the ceremony in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Vondel Smith and Son Mortuary, Oklahoma City. He died Nov. 8, 1990. He was the son of Albert and Lille May JONES. He married Nadine HOLDCRAFT in 1931. He is survived by his wife, Nadine; two sisters, Ruby and Marie and her husband, Earl; two daughters, Carolyn Ruth and her husband, Burton, and Patricia Ann; five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Roger S. GOODRICH, 90, of Guthrie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Scott Stearman of the First Baptist Church of Carney will officiate. Burial will be Summit View Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home. Roger was born Aug. 18, 1900 east of Guthrie, to Alpheus and Margaret GOODRICH. He died Nov. 12, 1990 at Edmond Memorial Hospital. He married Elsie MAHNKE on Nov. 2, 1919. He is survived by two sons, David and his wife, Marilyn, Floyd and his wife, Marvel; a daughter, Hazel and her husband, Kenneth; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren. And a devoted friend, Clara. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and his wife, Elsie, in 1977.
Graveside services for Lonnie Leon MILLER, 83, of Guthrie, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crescent Cemetery. Terry Payne will officiate the service, under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home, of Crescent. He was born April 19, 1907 in Breckenride, Texas to Thomas Leon and Dora M. (MOORE) MILLER. He died Monday. He married Ola Belle WARLICK. She preceded him in death in 1987. He is survived by one son, Melvin; three stepsons, Gary, Dennis, and Ron; one stepdaughter, Vicki; two sisters, Mina and Iva; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and his parents.
Funeral services for former Logan County resident, Mary Ann NEWSOM MURRAY, 80, of Spencer, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Friendship Baptist Church, in Guthrie. Rev. Ray Peters will officiate the service and burial will be in Seward Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Rolfe Funeral Home, of Oklahoma City. Mrs. Mary MURRAY was born September 5, 1910 in Waterloo, Okla. to James and Henrietta NEWSOM. She died November 7 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by one sister, Surplenice; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Dess V. POWERS, 82, Crescent, were held at 2 p.m. today at Oakland-Knowles Cemetery. Rev. Randy Beaman officiated the service. All arrangements were under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home of Crescent. She was born September 21, 1908 in Crescent to William and Betty (BARNES) WALLACE. Mrs. POWERS died November 10 at Crescent Care Center. She is survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and two daughters.
Funeral services for Minnie Clara WILLIAMS, 79, of Mulhall were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Strode Chapel, Stillwater, with Rev. David May officiating. Burial took place at Clarkson Cemetery in southwest Stillwater under the direction of Strode Chapel. Mrs. WILLIAMS was born February 1, 1911 in Stringtown in Seminole County to Henry W. And Minnie (WARDCHOW) GRUNDMANN. She died November 8 at her home. She married Cliff WILLIAMS June 12, 1932 in Shawnee. Mrs WILLIAMS is survived by her husband, Cliff, of the home; two sons, John and James; two daughters, Mary and Ann; two brothers, John and Henry; four sisters, Marie, Ella, Katie and Louise; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Former Coyle resident Margaret AULICK died Sunday, Nov. 4, 1990, in her home in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the age of 71. A memorial service was held in Colorado Springs and interment was held in Houston. Mrs. AULICK was born in Coyle on Oct. 16, 1919, the daughter of John and Mary (RICE) DODSON. She married Roscoe AULICK in Stillwater on May 9, 1940. He died on Jan. 20, 1980. In additon to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rebecca Jean, who died March 7, 1941. She is survived locally by a brother, Elmer and a sister, Mary Jane.

Funeral services for Lucille Maude COWEN, 74, of Guthrie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Smith Memorial Chapel. She was born March 26, 1916 in Coyle, to Dick and Maude GOBLE. She died Nov. 14, 1990 at Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn, Marilyn and Jana; two brothers, R.D."Doc" and Glen; three sisters, Dora Jane, Faye, and Lowell; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. COWEN was preceded in death by her husband, Claude on March 29, 1973, her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services for Earl LaFON, 86, former Mayor of Orland, are set for 3 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church of Orlando. Rev. Bill Smith will officiate the services and burial will be in Gracehill Cemetery, Perry, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie. Mr. LaFON was born March 4, 1904 in Vancouver, Washington, to Harry and Alice LaFON. He died Nov. 15, 1990 at Perry Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He married Lydia GLOCKLER on May 9, 1925 in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Lydia, of the home in Orland; a daughter, Earlene; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Mr. LaFON was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Interment followed at Crescent Cemetery, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie. Justin was born August 7, 1970 at Camp Pendleton, Calif. to Glen and Sylvia "TUFFORD" BECKNER. He died November 15. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sylvia and John TALBERT; father and stepmother Glen and Sonya BECKNER; one brother, John; one sister, Michelle; grandparents, Pete and Marie; Shirley and Pearl. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Doral BECKNER, Crescent.
Funeral services for Herman Eugene HULETT, 57, of Oklahoma City, were held at 2 p.m. today at Abernathy Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Randy Beeman officiated the service, and burial was at North IOOF Cemetery, in Marshall. All arrangements were under the direction of Abernathy Funeral home, in Crescent. He was born August 5, 1933 in Garnett, Kan., to Floyd and Letha HULETT. He died November 17 at Hillcrest Health Center in Oklahoma City. He married Connie Kay ROUSE August 9, 1985 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, West Indies. He is survived by his wife, Connie, of the home; father, Floyd HULETT: two stepchildren, Stephanie and Corey; one brother, Gary; and one sister, Mary. Mr. HULETT was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

LONG, 65, of Guthrie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith Memorial Chapel, Guthrie, Dr. Dennis Clark will officiate the service, with burial at Summit View Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Charles was born January 15, 1925 in Guthrie to James and Ivy LONG. He died November 20 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. Charles is survived by one sister, Mary Catherine, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mrs. DARROW was born July 17, 1916 in Delight, Arkansas, the daughter of Sam and Mary Ann (MAXEY) EAST. She died Nov. 23, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She married G.J. "Gabe" DARROW on Nov. 25, 1937 in Muskogee. Survivors include her husband, of the home in Guthrie; Mike and Dianne, Judy and Jim, two brothers, Cleo and Ruby, Howard and Roberta; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends, both locally and throughout the state.
Funeral services for George Thomas WOODARD, 50, of Guthrie, will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Joe Dan Fowler will officiate the ceremony and burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Mr. WOODARD died Thursday, Nov. 22, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1940 in Oklahoma City to Brance and Rachel WOODARD. He married Alice WARREN on April 12, 1959. Survivors include his wife, Alice of the home; three son, Bryan Thomas and his wife, Shawn, Capt. Elton "Gregg" and his wife, Patty, and Kenton Ray; his mother, Rachel; two sisters, Joyce and Carol E.; and six grandchildren. Arrangements will be announced by Smith Funeral Home.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie. Mrs. HARKEY was born December 20,1 909 in Denton, Texas, the daughter of Otto and Hattie (MEADOWS) BREWER. She died November 25, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She married Thomas J.. HARKEY on September 19, 1939 in Dallas. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Funeral services for Troy Grant HILBERN, 24, of Muskogee were held at 10:30 a.m. today at Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Glenn Miller officiated the service and burial was in Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie. Troy was born on August 24, 1966 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Wayne and Jeanne HILBERN. He died November 23, 1990 at Muskogee Medical Center. He is survived by his father, Waye HILBERN; mother, Jeanne JACKSON; two brothers, Jerry, and Wayne; a sister, Rebecca; and grandparents, Grant and Lenora. He was the grandson of the late Robert and Pansy JACKSON, Guthrie.
Sam SAGER, 79, a former Guthrian, died November 20 at his home in Hammond, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Goldie of the home; a son Robert; a daughter, Betty; six grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

Services were held Monday for former Logan County resident Clara Jo MEADOWS who died Saturday at University Hospital in Charlottesville, Va. She was born November 27, 1921 in Mulhall to Fred and Ethel HYDE BELL. She married William Charles MEADOWS of Charlottesville. Survivors include her husband, of the home; daughter, Joyce, her husband, Leonard; and son, Allan; daughter, Charlotte, her husband, Vernon, and son Will, her brothers, Elmo, Melvin and Fred; a sister, Effie; and numerous area nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughters Ginger, her parents and two sisters.

She died Nov. 27, 1990 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is survived by a son, James; a daughter, Vera Belle; one daughter-in-law, Evelyn; a sister, Vera; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Richtor HARMON, Dec. 31, 1976; a son, Mack; parents and two brothers, Leonard and Frank PHELAN.

He married Mary WILLIAMS in 1927. He is survived by seven sons, Kermit Sr., Fentress, Roland, Booker T., Raymond, Marvin, and Mason; two daughters Clareece and Marchita; one brother, Theodore; one sister, Leola; 24 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, and one son, John Clarnce CLARK.
Funeral services for Mary Jane GOODNIGHT, "Mrs. Lee", 70, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Peterson Funeral Home, Newton, Kan. Mrs. GOODNIGHT died November 29 at Newton Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Lee, of the home; one daughter, Jana and son-in-law, Steve; sister, Dorothy and her husband, Clayton; her mother-in-law, Relda; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Ruth.
A memorial service for Delton Le Roy PHELAN, 74, who died November 12 at Placerville Hospital, was observed November 23 in the Family Chapel of Mount Vernon Memorial Park, Fair Oaks, Calif. Burial was in Memorial Park there. He was born May 3, 1916 in Coyle to Frank and Gerna PHELAN. He married Lenora Mae GRAY on August 1, 1934 in Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Lenora; one son, Laree Alan; two brothers, Max and Harold; two sisters, Loa Faye and Wanda; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one step great grandson.
