Funeral services for Neva Margaret SNOW, 66, of Guthrie were held today at 2 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel. Allen Daniels officiated the service, assisted by Mike Hughes and Henry Newman. Burial was at Knowles Cemetery in Crescent. All arrangements were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie. She was born July 28, 1924 in Crescent to Lee and Maggie "MORRISETT" CHAMBERS. Mrs. SNOW died December 2 at her home in Guthrie. She married Cecil H. SNOW July 1, 1945 in Crescent. She is survived by her husband, Cecil, of Guthrie; three sons, Cecil Gene, Larry, and Ronnie; two brothers, Oril and Wayne; one sister, Marie; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Gussie Lois WATKINS, 78, of Cashion, died Sunday, December 2 at Kingfisher Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cashion Christian Church with burial in the Cashion Cemetery. Rev. Roger Stearns will officiate the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie. She was born April 8, 1912 in Jefferson County near Ringling, Okla. to Oscar and Eunice (WHITTEN) BOYD,. She married Roy P. RECTOR on November 11, 1935 in Sulphur. He preceded her in death September 11, 1951. On June 23, 1961 she married Albert James (Bud) WATKINS who also preceded her in death in June 1976. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Helen; two grandsons; and one great grandson; two stepdaughters, Thelma and Peggy; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a foster daughter, Mary; a niece, she partially raised, Jean; other nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and O.J. BOYD and a stepson, E.C. RECTOR.

Word has been received of the death of Thomas P. IRELAND Jr., on Nov. 20, 1990 at Rusk, Texas, after an extended illness. He was born Aug. 29, 1931 in Houston to Thomas Poole IRELAND Sr. and Catherine BALLENGER IRELAND. He is survived by four children, his father and stepmother ; an uncle and aunt. He was preceded in death by his mother , and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.L. BALLENGER, Guthrie.

Funeral services for Maurine REECE, 79, of Crescent, will be held at 4 p.m Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Crescent. Rev. Kent Ruebell and pastor David Rowley will officiate with cremation following the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home. She was born April 8, 1911 in Balko, Okla., daughter of Howard Dean and Mary Alaid GREEN STEELE. Mrs. REECE died December 6 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center, Guthrie. She married Alfred REECE May 10, 1932 in Beaver, Okla. He preceded her in death December 26, 1988. She is survived by one son, Al and his wife, Mary Beth; three daughters, Gloria, Ramona and her husband, Trevor, and Cheryl and her husband, Dean; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five step great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass for Vesta C. McNULTY, 97, of Guthrie, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Henry Roberson will officiate the ceremony and burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Miss McNULTY was born April 1, 1893 to James J. and Mary Jane (FLEMING) McNULTY. She died Dec. 10, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by many niece and nephews, including Juanita. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Paul Erwin WOODUL, 85, of Guthrie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church in Guthrie. Rev. Joe Dan Fowler will officiate the service and burial will be at Summit View Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. He was born April 27, 1905 in Prescott, Ark. to William and Cynthia WOODUL. He died December 11 at Canterbury Health Center, in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Maurine, of the home; one son, Paul R.; three daughters and their husband, Marlene and Paul, Betty and Tom, and Jerri Ann ; three sisters, Sally, Janie and Rachel; six granddaughters and seven grandsons. There are also nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for former Guthrian Mary F. MILLER, 82, of Waynoka, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Waynoka. Rev. David Shaw officiated the service, with burial at Waynoka Cemetery. She was born January 29, 1908 in Greenfield, Missouri to Horace and Lillie Caroline WEIR. Mrs. MILLER died December 7 at her home in Waynoka. She married Lee MILLER May 10, 1929 in Wichita, Kan. He preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, M.L. "Corky" and Jack E.; a daughter, Mary Kay; a brother, Ernest; a sister, Flora; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.

Graveside services for Charles H. BARBER, 93, of Guthrie, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Summit View Cemetery. Rev. Joe Fine, Free Methodist Church of Guthrie, will officiate the ceremony. Mr. BARBER was born Nov. 14, 1897 in Kewanne, Illinois and died Dec.13, 1990 at Norman Hospital. Mr. BARBER is survived by a son Charles; a daughter, Clarica; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara, whom he married on September 23, 1922 in Enid. She passed away in 1980. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, and two brothers who died as infants, and a sister, Charlotte GILL.
Funeral services for Mrs. Luvenia Blue WALTON, 90, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Olive Friendship Baptist Church, Guthrie. Rev. Ray Peters will officiate and burial will be in the Harding Cemetery under the direction of Pollard Funeral Home Inc., Guthrie. Mrs. WALTON was born Feb. 2, 1900, near Sugarlock, Mississippi, to George and Peggie BLUE and died Dec. 4, 1990. Survivors include a son, William C.; a daughter, Margaret; a sister, Nellie; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services for Sophie Ethel Mary MINOR, 77, of Guthrie, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Summit View Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Chennault will officiate and burial will be Summit View under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Sophie was born on July 18, 1913 in Guthrie to A. and May FOWLER. She died Dec. 13, 1990 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by two nieces, Betty and Barbara; and other numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and eight sisters.

Funeral services for Lorene R. HODGES, 70, of Guthrie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Robby Robbins will officiate the service with burial at Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie. She was born August 21, 1920 in Lexington, Okla. to Garry and Maude VanOrden, Lorene died December 18 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She is survived by two brothers, Bob and Don; one sister, Lottie; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Joyce HILL, who died in April 1984.
Requiem Eucharist services for Lucille Eleanor VAUGHN, 78, of Guthrie, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, in Guthrie, Father Jim Disbrow will officiate the service. Burial will be held later in Oak Grove Cemetery, LaCrosse, Wis. All arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie. She was born April 24, 1912 in Nekoosa, Wisconsin to Percy and Alice "MUNGER" GEORGE. Mrs. VAUGHN died December 18, at Logan Hospital and Medical Center. She married Alvin "Mickey" VAUGHN in 1931 in Wisconsin. She is survived by two sons, Michael and Patrick James; three daughters, Dawn Art, Mary Catherine and Letty; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, who died in November 1987.

Funeral services for Emma Belle WAGNER, 98, of Coyle, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Guthrie First Christian Church, Dr. Dennis Clark, assisted by Charles Pickle, will officiate the service, with burial at Coyle Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie. She was born January 19, 1892 in Hoyt, Kan. to John and Tobitha (FLESHER) BOYCE. Mrs. WAGNER died December 19 at High Plains Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She married Ernest William PHILLIPS June 20, 1908 in Hugo. He died in February, 1912. She later married Robert Stillman STANBOROUGH March 21, 1917. He died in November 1938. She joined Jack WAGNER in marriage in April 1941. He died February 25, 1967. She is survived by three daughters, Marie, Virginia and Jack, and Lila and Longan; one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Charlene; 18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 36 great great grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild. Along with her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, D.C. PHILLIPS, seven brothers and two sisters.

Charles Ryser will officiate the service under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie. Thelma was born Dec. 6, 1916 in Terral, Okla., to William and Louie THOMAS. She died Dec. 21 at Golden Age Nursing Home. She married Eddie C. HUSTED on June 26, 1938 in Waurika, Okla. She is survived by her husband, Eddie of Guthrie; two daughters, Eddie Joyce and Sue Carol; two brothers, Lloyce and Vachael; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Burial will be in Seward Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. She was born May 7, 1898 in Seward to Richard S. and Cora Bell (POWELL) SMITH. She died Dec. 22, 1990, at Golden Age Nursing Home. She married Albertus N. (Bat) DREESSEN March 20, 1917 in Seward. He preceded her in death June 12, 1956. She is survived by three sons, Ralph, Bernard and Richard; six daughters, Bernice, Cora Bell, Alice, Barbara, Frances and Mona Ruth; 33 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Lee and Clarence SMITH.
Funeral services for Wesley WHITEHORN, 65, of Guthrie will be Friday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church at Broad and Springer with Rev. Hersey Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. He was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Crescent to Willis and Bessie (CEASOR) WHITEHORN. He died Dec. 23, 1990, at Colonial Estates. He married Maxine HAWKINS on Oct. 16, 1979 in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Maxine, of the home in Guthrie; six sons, Lee, Gerald, Terry, Wesley Jr, Timothy, and Larry; seven daughters, Phyllis, Renae, Denise, Treta, Tamara, Kim, Kay;(only six names given) two sisters, Norma Faye and Norma Jean; 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents and five brothers.

She was born January 18, 1895 in Ha Ha Tonka, Camden County, Missouri to theodore Ellsworth and Rachel Tabitha (McGUIRE) CULLEN. She died December 26 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. She married Clyde W. DENNY December 30, 1919 in Guthrie. She is survived by two children and their spouses, Wallace C. and Rosalie A, and Veneta and leroy; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. DENNY was preceded in death by her parents, T.E. and Rachel CULLEN; two brothers, Ellsworth and Fred CULLEN; one sister, Lou (CULLEN) WARD; and two grandchildren, Linda and David DENNY.
Funeral services for George Merrill SOWARDS, 73, of Cashion will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Cashion. Rev. Roger Stearns will officiate with burial at Cashion Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie. George was born March 9, 1917 in Cashion to Jess and Jessie SOWARDS. He died December 25 at his Cashion. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of the home in Cashion; one son, Jim; one daughter, Gloria; his father, Jess; one brother, Cleo and four grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie SOWARD, in 1988.

John Orville ENGLISH, 81, died in Enid on Dec. 21, 1990. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 2, 1991 in the First Methodist Church Chapel at Enid. Graveside services will be at noon at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. He was born Aug. 29, 1909 in Guthrie to Rosella and John ENGLISH. He married Beatrice DENTON. She preceded him in death in 1970. Surviving are three daughters, Frances, Glenna Jo, and Ann; four brothers, Roy, Luther, Eugene and Kenneth; and two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Samuel Gresham STOREY passed away on Dec. 24, 1990 at Lancaster Community Hospital. Mr. STOREY was born March 4, 1939 in Guthrie. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 1 at the Church of Christ in Crescent. Interment will be in the family plot in Crescent. Survivors include a daughter, Tawna; his parents, Bill and Deloris STOREY; two sisters, Mary Ann and Carol.
