In 1925, a Robert Downey lived in Jenks, OK. He was the son of Jane "Jennie" Wilson and James Downey of McPherson Co., KS and had been born there c. 1868. We believe he moved to Tulsa area c. 1890. Later, c. 1950, he moved back to McPherson Co and is buried there. Have no info on his wife.
George S. Downey who married Margaret ? is the only documented child. We believe Jewel W. (male) Downey who married Edna Cora Prichard on 7 JUN 1911 was also a child. The only information we have on their exact location is that Edna was born 19 JUN 1895 "nr. Tulsa". Although it is obviously more than possible, a marriage age of 15 for her raises questions as to the validity of the dates. We assume that "nr. Tulsa" poss. means Jenks, but don't now. Both of them also ended up in McPherson Co.
We are looking for any information that would let us home in on all of Robert's children, particularly to prove/disprove that Jewel was his son. A good census list of the family in 1900 and/or 1910 would be invaluable. Thank you for any help that can be provided.

I am researching two separate families, but this is my first stop as I am a beginner. The first familiy is Clark/Willis, the other is Hopper/Long, both of which have existed in OK, KS, MS that I'm definitely sure of. My grandfather was John Clark married to Wanda Leona Willis who are both deceased. He was from possibly Muskogee or something. He served in the military, possible the Airforce. His mothers maiden name was Rambo and I think he had 2 bothers. My grandmother's parents were Ada Willis and I don't know my greatgrandfathers first name, but that they were not originally from OK. My grandparents both lived in Tulsa most of their married life and I think they were divorced then remarried again. I think my John Clark has some relatives buried in Little Kansas, OK. The other side of the family is Mary Janet Long (maiden is Hopper) from Picher, OK married to Robert Ray Long of Afton, OK with his mothers maiden name of Jesse Dillinger. Any and all help is unbelievably appreciated.
