MOORE, PARKER posted by D. Doubrava on Saturday, February 1, 1997

I am searching for any information about my great-grandfather,W.T. PARKER. (Possibly William Thomas Parker) Known to have died in OK. First marriage was to Pearl MOORE. Lived in Texas in 1890 and had sons Bill and Snead. I cannot find him there either! Approximate birthdate may be 1860 - 1870. We believe he died prior to 1937 and was in his 60's or 70's at death. I have no counties or cities where he may have lived. Thank you for any assistance you can give. .

BOWMAN, CARNELL, MARSHALL, WRIGHT posted by Jan Willis Williams on Tuesday, February 25, 1997

Looking for info on my Great Grandfather Calvin MARSHALL. B. 1861 in either Floyd or Carroll Co, VA. Died 1836 in either Altus, OK or Paris, TX. Believed to be buried in Paris, TX. CalvinAEs first wife in was in VA, Susan Martha BOWMAN (1866-1946). They were divorced and he moved to Texas somewhere around 1885-1895. He owned property in both Altus, OK and Paris, TX. His second wife was Ms. Willie CARNELL, some sources say her last name was WRIGHT. It is possible one of the names is a maiden name and the other a married name. Willie and Calvin had one son who lived to adulthood, although I do not know his name. Please let me know if you have any information about where Grandpa Calvin is buried or any info about his second wife Willie and their son. Jan Williams

PAYNE, WILLIS posted by Bill Hunt on Monday, May 5, 1997

PAYNE, P. D. Married Addie Georgia WILLIS about 1909. On 28 Nov 1919 he was sentenced to 3 years in prison for Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon. His number at Granite was 2424 and at McAlister his number was Mc-10677. He was transferred to McAlister 17 July 1920. In September 1921 he was paroled and his citizenship restored. He is believed to have been the father of Earl D. PAYNE who for years was an agent with Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Co. I seek information about others of his family and what happened to him after prison. I believe he was a painter, but he may have traveled as a salesman.

JACKSON, YARBERRY posted by Muriel Wilson on Saturday, June 7, 1997

Trying to find info on JESSE S. JACKSON who lived in Greer County in 1910-1920.  He was a brother to ANDREW JACKSON who was a businessman in Mangum and to my grandad THOMAS ELIJAH JACKSON.  In 1920 Jesse apparently lived at 511 South Pennsylvania, Mangum. I believe he had a daughter, CORA YARBERRY and maybe a son named JESSIE R. JACKSON. JESSE'S wife was named REBECCA.  What was Rebecca's maiden name? When did JESSE & REBECCA die and where are they buried? Did they have other children?
