He was born December 24, 1888, in Rowlett, Texas, but had lived in this area many years. Mills was a veteran of World War I. He made his home at 382 W 10th here. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Assembly of God church with Rev. Elliott Tate officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery under direction of Stout-Sarber Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Gerty, of the home, and one brother, Robert Q. Mills, of Saginaw, Tex.
