Sapulpa Woman Dies When Struck by Car

Mrs. Pearl Jestice, 63, Sapulpa. died In a Sapulpa hospital at 2:15 am Wednesday, of injuries she received when struck by a car after she stepped from a bus, one-half mile south of Sapulpa at 8 pm Tuesday. Her death was the 258th traffic fatality to date and the 16th for the month.

Troopers Eldon Dicus and Kenneth Wilson, state highway patrol, said Mrs. Jestice stepped off the bus, ran out of the bus' path into a car driven by Lloyd Carroll Mend, 21, U. S. marine stationed at Olathe, Kan. Mead Was on furlough enroute to his home at Freer. Texas, when the Accident occurred.
