Cpl. Oran Warren Howe

Died in Italy on November 8, 1943 from wounds received in action, one year to the day after landing on foreign soil, November 8, 1942 when Africa was invaded.

He was a gunner on a tank in the armored infantry and had been in the service since June 4, 1942.

He was 23 years of age.

The son of Mrs. Lottie Howe, 815 W. Warner Ave, he was graduated from Guthrie highschool and was employed at Furrow and Company Florists before going into the service.

His wife is Mrs. Martha E. Howe, Guthrie.

He had received the Purple Heart for being wounded in action.
