Cpl. Leo R. Bertwell

Has been across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and is now stationed in the Pacific. Formerly employed at the Guthrie Gas Utilities.

Bertwell was graduated from Guthrie high school and entered the service on December 11, 1941.

Has received several medals for expert shooting and bayonette.

He received recognition for saving a boy's life, who was washed overboard.

He is squad leader and instructor of his company, with the U. S. Marines.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Bertwell live at 1107 W. Noble and his wife, Marie lives at San Antonio.
