Tech. Sgt. George R. Hammond

Has received the D. S. C. and three Oak Leaf Clusters and several other medals since he has been in the service, enlisting October 1, 1939.

He attended Cashion highschool and A. and M. College, Stillwater and is 24 years of age.

He has seen active duty in North Africa, Sicily and Italy and has served on the west coast and in convoy duty from Miami to Havana.

He is now stationed at the Greenville army air base, Greenville, S. C., as a bombardier in the army air corps.

He was formerly employed at Penneys here.

His wife, Mrs. Alma Hammond is with him in Greenville.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Hammond, Guthrie.
