Jesse and Eliza Powell

When Jesse Spear Powell was born on 27 July 1838, in Choctaw, Mississippi, United States, his father, William Marion Hampton Powell, was 28 and his mother, Margaret Faulkner, was 23. He married Eliza J. Hood on 17 April 1861, in Lafayette, Mississippi, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 28 November 1904, in Sulphur Springs, Choctaw Nation Reservation, Pushmataha, Oklahoma, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in Choctaw, Oklahoma, United States.
