

Henry Services Were Held Here Thursday at 2
Funeral rites for Elmo Henry, pioneer Sulphur cement contractor, were held Thursday, August 3, at 2 p.m. from the Dunn Funeral Chapel. Rev. Bonner Teeter, pastor of the First Methodist church, was in charge of the service.Pallbearers were Lloyd Garrison, Tom Clement, Bun Harrell, Ernest Barry and Adolph Johanson. Interment was in Oaklawn cemetery with the Dunn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.Henry died Wednesday, August 2, at 11:30 at his home north of Sulphur following a two weeks illness. He was born December 12, 1873 in Pendleton County, Ky. Henry came to Sulphur over 50 years ago and followed the trade of cement contractor all that time. Most of the sidewalks of Sulphur bear his stencil mark. He was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Henry preceded him in death in 1927.The family includes one daughter, Mrs. Madeline Long, Houston, Texas; two sons, Harry Henry, Lake Charles, La., Frank Henry, Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren and one brother Noah Henry, St. Louis, Mo.
