They live in Loveland and then Grandfield until 1955.... had two daughters, Ruth and Phyllis, both born in Loveland, 1909 and 1914. Any information would be appreciated.

I would like to enter the surname WHITESIDE to the website. My mother-in-law's maiden name was WHITESIDE. She was born Erma Lou WHITESIDE in Tillman Co., Grandfield, OK. She is the daughter of Vinita Farthing WHITESIDE and Gilliam WHITESIDE. Would love to find anything relating to Gilliam Whiteside born 1896 Texas. He died young so probably about 1922 -25 and probably in or around Grandfield. If you know anything about him, where buried, when died, parents names etc. would love to hear from you. He is suppose to be of Native American heritage. I know he was born in Texas but no city, county etc and I can't actually verify his parents names as I can't find them after about 1890 in N.C. I am interested in the THORNHILL's of Tillman county Oklahoma. I am researching my ggrandfather Albert THORNHILLb. 7/1854 d. 1911 and ggrandmother Mary Virigina HUGHES b. Feb. 23, 1859 d. Sept. 30, 1941. They had 8 children. Florence, Melton, Oscar, Jack, Ida, Dolly, Edward and Jesse James. They traveled back and forth from Oklahoma to Texas. Albert and Mary were buried in the Davidson Cemetery but they have no headstone. If you have any information on this please email me.

I am having trouble finding anything on Charles Lawrence WILLS and Lillie Dale NORRIS Wills. They lived near Granfield OK in the early 1900's. My grandmother was born to them in March 27, 1917. Her name is Esther WILLS and she had a twin that died at birth, Vesta. Charles boarded schoolteachers. Can anyone tell me more?

My grandfather, J. E. (Ed) EVANS died in Tillman Co. in 1944. I have not been able to find any information on him. I was wanting to know if maybe someone there could help me.
All I know about him is that he was born in Titus Co., Tx in 1871, and died in Tillman Co. in 1944. I don't know his parents names or about any siblings. He was married to Bessie McFARLAND EVANS, who after his death married G. W. Branham in Frederick. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to find a link to my ancestor Frances Ellen Bruce MONTGOMERY. Frances Ellen (b. February 09, 1847) supposedly died in Frederick, Tillman Co., OK, on April 04, 1914. She was buried (probably with her husband, John MONTGOMERY) in Pottawatomie Co., OK. Were death certificates issued in Tillman Co. in 1914? Would the body have been sent to a funeral home in Tillman County? How would I go about checking? I am trying to find some information that would lead to the names of Frances Ellen's parents. Thanks!

Looking for information on George Petranice HOWARD. He was born Dec 1872 in Tennessee. By 1903 he and his family were in Oklahoma. He was Presbyterian minister in Tillman Co at Grandfield (found in the 1910 and 1920 census). He married Louisa VENEABLE (or BENDERMAN) about 1892. Children were: Maury, Hazel, Helen, Giles, Ethel and George Jr. I would like to correspond with anyone working on this family or find out how to get the records from the church in Grandfield. Looking for the siblings and ancestors of my paternal grandfather, Aulton Leo WILLIAMS, B. 1908, d. 11-8-1969 in Temple, Texas, buried in Waco Memorial Cemetery.
He married Mildred Sybil HALL and they had 3 children:
Van Aulton, Robert, Sybil Ann.
Aulton was the last of eleven children, all of whom had first names beginning with A. Aulton's parents lived in Frederick, OK in 1928 when Van was born. Van was born in Frederick, although his birth certificate is Hill County, Texas, where A. L. and Mildred lived at the time. The siblings of Aulton I remember are Arrah, Amos, Archie. Any information would be helpful.

Looking for information on my Grandfather Elmer Edgar PRIVETT. He was in Tipton, Tillman Co., OK in 1923 when my Aunt Roxie Corene PRIVETT was born. (Feb 27, 1923) My grandmother was Josie Olena Belle Vaughn PRIVETT. Living with them, and I understand buried in Tipton, was a Matilda Hill who raised my grandmother. Matilda's death is suppose to be 15 May 1923. Along with Roxie Corene there would have been 8 other children , the oldest being 18.
I am not sure if there is or was a Masonic Lodge in Tipton at that time, but my grandfather was a Mason. They had moved to Tipton from Spanish Fort, Texas.

Elton ORR was married to Beulah (Louie Mitchell's sister) ORR. They had two sons born in Frederick: Cleston Lee ORR 10-15-1927 and Lester ORR around 1935. Elton died about 1939. Beulah Mitchell Orr moved to Littlefield, TX where she remarried. I'm trying to find what information I can on Elton ORR and who his parents were and also on Louie and Beulah Mitchell and their parents from maybe an old census-1910 to 1940. Louie Mitchell was married to Cleo and they owned the John Deere business in Frederick until his death. I attended the funeral. Cleo was mentioned in your county history pertaining to the Brethren Church. Elton's nephew Jay ORR owned a section and half of farmland along the river between Altus and Snyder and north of the highway about 6 miles. Any information would help.

On the 1910 and 1920 census, Tillman Co., there was listed John D. INMAN, his wife, Sarah J., and son Dic or D. John was the owner of a Restaurant and Poolhall. Dic was Richard and he worked in the Restaurant. This family came from Indiana in 1879, settled in Texas, then moved to OK about 1900. Sarah was John's second wife. Two son's, Isaac and James, from his first marriage, also moved to TX and then to OK. They are on the 1900 census in Stephens Co., OK and James is on the 1920 census in Grady Co., OK. Isaac married Rose Copeland and they had one child, Ruby Estel, in 1900. James married Emma ? and they had 9 children, Lillian 1893, May 1896,Vent 1898, Verda 1901, Alvin 1903, Lucile 1906, Freda 1908, Bessie 1910, and Lorena 1914. I have a great deal of information on this family and their ancesters. I would like to know what happened to them. Thanks.

Looking for information on Schofield Cemetery or Maple Grove Cemetery records. My children's ancestors are buried in either or both of these cemeteries. Andrew Magnus ANDERSON died in Manitou, OK in 1932 and is supposedly buried in Schofield. His son (C. W.) and daughter-in-law, I was told, are buried in Maple Grove.
