| MANN Looking for Mann, Bowles, Fox, Golliher, Fowler, from 1893 to 1920. My father, Charles Franklin Mann, married on Saux & Fox reservation. Bowles lived Otoe & Sand Creek. Gollihers around Davenport. My dad, Charles Franklin Mann married Rozena (Neighbors) Fowler on the Sauk & Fox Agency on 03 Feb 1898 and, so I'm told, had a double-hued cabin not far to the south of that Agency that was still standing in 1965. I'm not sure where that Agency was located and have looked all my life for a half-brother, Earnest, born to that union ca 1899. Also don't know which Flowers Rozena married, but he is one that is supposed to have originally built the cabin dad & Rozena lived in. | 5/25/98

My Grandfather was Roscoe Mathews, he married Cora Langley born January 1906 in Arkansas, on February 15, 1921 in Kendrick, Lincoln County Oklahoma. | MAYNARD / DAVIS I'm looking for information on my father and his family. My father Jesse Maynard b. 1913 either OK or CO son on Matthew Maynard b.? and Martha Francis "Fanny" Davis b.12/29/1886 Arno, Douglas CO, MO other children include Ernest b.1907 and Raymond b. 1915. Matthew had a son from a previous marriage named Floyd that died in WWII in England. My father grew up in Agra and Avery. He left home in his early teen and went to live with the Hart family. I have a group High School Graduating Class Photo but I don't know who any of the others are in it or for what school it was taken of. Matthew Maynard died in San Bernadino, CA in an automobile accident with a child in the car, but it wasn't any of the children listed above so he must have remarried. | McDOWELL / MORRIS Does anyone have any information on Susan Dialpha MORRIS, b. 1871, unknown place, parents and siblings, m. Samuel Milton MCDOWELL, b. 1 Jan. 1871, Buchanan County, MO? They were married either in 1888 or 89. Samuel Milton was the s/o John Pryor McDOWELL and Nancy Jane DANIELS.
Samuel Milton and Susan Dialpha lived in and around Meeker, OK, from the
1800s to the late 1910s. Susan is reportedly buried at the cemetery at
Meeker, but I am not sure. Their children were: Most of the family moved back to St. Joseph, MO around or after 1920. Please advise if you have any information or any idea to go about locating records on this family. | 7/12/99

| MITCHELL Seeking information regarding John H. Mitchell b.1848 (IL) and Lottie (Breden) Mitchell b. 1861 (IL). They appear on the 1900 Census with their six children: Edgar b. 1882 (IL), Mabel b. 1885 (IL), Sarah b.1886 (KS), Lottie b.1888 (KS) Alice b.1893 (OK), Gladys b. 1900 (OK). I know that Alice moved to Denver, CO and was married briefly to Nathan Kelly. Gladys married a Hardeway and lived in Los Angeles in the mid 1900s. I would like to know where John and Lottie are buried. Also cannot find any trace of Edgar. Perhaps they left OK, but I have not yet located any of the other Mitchell family members. | 7/14/99

| MONROE Seeking information on Robert Addile Monroe family; specifically information on the death and burial of Emma Samantha Blaylock Monroe. Robert was married to Emma Samantha Blaylock. They had two girls -- Edna Katherine and Elender Emmaline. Emma was pregnant and gave birth to twins on January 20, 1907. She died January 28, 1907. One twin died February 16, 1907; the other, Robert Hugh Monroe, lived to adulthood. They moved to Wallis, Texas shortly afterwards. Edna said there was a family consisting of a daddy and two glirls by the name of Ewing or Youen who lived down the road from them. In the 1960's we visited Prague and an elderly gentleman working in the funeral home said he recalled the name and thought they might have lived in the Kerkouk (sp.) community. He said there was a rural cemetery there that was not used very often and was so grown up that it would be almost impossible to find any graves. I doubt that there was any permanent marker. | 8/24/98

PENDLEY / WHITE My husband's grandparents were married in Lincoln Co. They were Joe Thomas White and Cornelia Adeline Pendley. They were married at her father's home in South Seminole Township, August 6, 1900. She was a resident of Guild OK and he was a resident of Sacred Heart or Heard OK. He was born May 18, 1877 in Arkansas and she was also born in Arkansas. We are trying to determine if his parents, William Sim White and Lucinda Burnet Powers White were also residents in Lincoln Co. around that time. If anyone has access to their wedding records or censuses of the area from 1890-1910 any information would be appreciated. W.S. was also known as Sim and he and Lucinda were both born in Tenn. if place of birth is noted on the census. | 6/18/97

| PENFIELD My wifes' father Archie PENFIELD, as a baby, made the run into Oklahoma in 1889 with his family. They settled a homestead near Chandler in Lincoln County. Later, all of the family except Archie died of Typhoid fever. Archie was taken in and raised by the neighboring Schmidt family. Nothing else is known about Archie except that he thought that his family came from Nebraska. I found a record of a William PENFIELD who homesteaded near Chandler but he was single and lived longer. William Almond Gambrell his son-in-law settled on a school lease southwest of Meeker, Ok about 1918. William Almond Gambrell lived on the Lincoln-Pottawatomie County about one mile north of the Hagar school in Lincoln County. These two families came from Johnson County, Texas.
