Hazel Beatrice (Shatswell) Hembree, born July 20, 1920 to Myrtle
Bell and Joseph Richard Shatswell, passed away Jan. 3, 2000 at home.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harmon Hembree, Sr. of
the home, three sons Eldon of the home, Elvin Leon of Del City, Harmon,
Jr. and wife Sinda of OKC; six grandchildren, Stanton, Robbie, Bret,
Blayne, Christy, and Tiffany; two sisters, Ruby Alexander, and Dorthy
Shadid; two brothers, J. T. and L. D. Shatswell; four
great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded by one grandson, Ricky Gerald Hembree in Sept.
1993.
Throughout her life she seemed to take on a role to help anyone in
need. She gave new meaning to motherhood. She always gave love,
understanding, and most of all, unconditional love to all her children,
their spouses and her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all
that knew and loved her. Gone but not forgotten, and someday we will all
be together again in Heaven.
Services will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday Jan. 6, 2000 at the
Baggerley-South Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Sonny Lane
Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma. (The Daily Oklahoman, Jan. 5, 2000).
