Cecil Byron "Bud" Greathouse

Bud Greathouse Dies:

Cecil Byron "Bud" Greathouse, 73 years old Atoka County native, died April 10, 1984 in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Muskogee.

Greathouse a highly decorated veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict was born May 16, 1910 in Crystal. He was the son of Lawrence Greathouse and Callie Hill Greathouse.

Funeral service were held Friday Afternoon at Atoka First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob McCaslin, pastor, officiating. Burial in Green Meadow Cemetery under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home.

Greathouse was married to the former Nannie Marie Hogan, April 30, 1955. She preceded him in death May 16, 1982.

Survivors include two sisters, Thelma Payne of Mabank, TX, and Clara Rounsaville of Lebanon, OR; and one brother, L. L. "Tee" Greathouse of Angleton, TX.

Active pallbearers were Charles McCall, Bobby Camp, Jelly Cook, Leon McNeil, Don Barnard and Bob Surrell.

Honorary pallbearers were Sidney Camp, Crockett Lowry, C. A. McCall, Albert Furr, Squib Tolbert, Donald Fereday and Jack Bonner.
