George Madison Adair, aged 75, died at his home July 8, 1952.

Services were held at Caney Baptist Church with Rev. Cad Bingham officiating. Burial was in the Caney Cemetery under the direction of Keith Funeral Home. Born in Searcy, Arkansas, April 9, 1884, he was the son of George Washington Adair and Lucinda Hardy Adair.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Erma Catherine Gilbert Adair and an infant son.

Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Flora Roberts Adair of the home; and five daughters, Mrs. Bernice Huffhines, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Myrtle Byrum, Atoka; Mrs. Ruby Emert and Mrs. Georga Lou Childress, both of Caney; Mrs. Ruthylene Hall, Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Joe of Atoka, Royal of Ada; two step-daughters, Mrs. Elsie Lowry, Atoka; Mrs. Ecie Bostwich, Casper, Wyoming; one step-son, Owen Roberts, Atoka; 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
