Civil War
Roberts, Levi H:. Served in the Union Army as a Private in
Co-F-145th Reg. Indiana Vols Infantry. He is buried in Duncan Cemetery
World War One
Dudley David Malone, b. 1895, Construction Co., American
Expeditionary Forces, England. Died 1918 - burial - Duncan Cemetery.
John Lewis Walker was born in Sterrett, AL, on 30 July 1899.
According to my mother, he served in the U.S. Army artillery and was
stationed in Hawaii during WW1. After the war he was stationed at Fort
Sill where he met and married my grandmother, Mildred Edith Robison. He
died on 18 November 1925 after an oil field injury suffered in Bristow,
OK. He is buried in the Denton Cemetery near his in-laws, Levi R. and
Ella L. Robison. John L. Walker was a sergeant when he met my
grandmother. Two of her brothers were stationed at Fort Sill. According
to my mother, he did not serve in Europe at all. He left the Army when
his enlistment was up and he was married to my grandmother. - Submitted

Vietnam war
Adams, Dennis; Graduated from Velma -Alma H.S. in 1970 went into
the service, went to Phan Rang Viet Nam in 1971 and was a gunner on a
Armored Personnel Carrier (track) served 1 year and came back and was
stationed in Kansas where I served until 1974. Submitted by Dennis Adams
Adcox, Thomas A. Velma-Alma 1955-1966 OSU 1966-1970 Entered Air Force
in 1970, B-52 Pilot in 1972, stationed Carswell AFB, Tx 1972-1978 Offutt
AFB 1978-1983, Flew out of Guam and "UT by the Sea" during this era. Left
active duty as a Captain, made Major in reserve duty after 1983.
