The following information was furnished by Jennifer Sparks
The old Pettit school used to be where Pettit Bay (in the north part of the camping park) at Lake Tenkiller is now. The later Pettit school house was moved north of Pettit Bay. There is an old Pettit cemetery located just east of the old school house. Names of the ones in this picture are as follows; Front row from left: Henry Dawes, Cicero Parson, Ted Dawes and Bryan Lawley.
Second row:
Boon Griffin, Elmer Edwards, Frank Lawley, Myrtle Parson, Alta Edwards, Aggie Parson, unknown, unknown, Maude Lawley, Charlie Terrell and Albert Dawes.
Back row:
Ray Ballard, Jess Cochran, Gertie Lawley, Susie Grifin, Ola Terrell and Alice Dawes.
In front of Ola and Alice are Martha Edwards and Etta Terrell.
Mr Wyly
is leaning against tree. Old man in back is Nick Pettit and on right is the teacher, Carl Conner.

Two girls in front of Ola Terrell and Alice Dawes are Martha Edwards and Etta Terrell.  The gentleman leaning against the tree is Mr. Wyly,
who was the school superintendent.  The old gentleman on the left is Nick Pettit.  The schoolteacher, Carl Connor, is on the right.”
