Oil Drilling Rig Inside City Limits of OKC, about 1937

My father, Fred Downs, was the fourth man from the right. He was the derrickman and was standing next to the drill pipe. I don't know the names of the other men, but I thought that someone might recognize them. My daddy told that they drilled wells all over OKC in those days.

If you look really close at the right side of the photo, you can see a house with two women standing on the porch.
