(Picture originally belonged to my grandmother, Mary Emma Steele Palmer, who passed away in May 2004.  All the students are identified thanks to my aunt, Clifford Alice (Steele) Hill, who had it published in a local Oklahoma newspaper, the Kiamichi Kourier, in 1977. The original photo and newspaper article are now in the possession of my aunt, Loretta Palmer Webb.)
