Funeral services for Wesley Doyle ADAMS, 59, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro with the Rev. Eddie Blankenship officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Panama under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro. Mr. ADAMS was born on Sept. 12, 1952, in Bentonville, Ark., to Sam ADAMS and Bertha (JACKSON) ADAMS. He died on Wednesday Feb. 29, 2012, in Spiro. He was a laborer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and repairing lawnmowers. Survivors include his wife, Barbara (FORD) ADAMS of the home; two daughters, Cindy DUNBAR and husband, Pat and Terra CHRISTIAN and husband, Kyle, all of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sons, Wesley Shane ADAMS and wife, Stacy of Lavaca, Ark., and Robert Bridges of Fort Smith; five sisters, Wanda WOODARD and Sara MOPPIN and husband, Bubby, all of Kibler, Ark., Mindy MEYERS and husband, Dewayne of Cedarville, Ark., and Marsha CROSS and husband, Brian and April HUBBARD, all of Van Buren, Ark.; five brothers, Larry ADAMS and wife, Kathy and Olan ADAMS, all of Kibler, Johnny ADAMS and wife, T.C. and Alan ADAMS and wife, Donita, all of Cedarville, and Timmy ADAMS and wife, Peggy of Van Buren; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will visit with friends and family from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Kenneth R. CARLILE, 64, of Craig, Colo., died on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, in Montrose, Colo. He was born on Aug. 25, 1947, in Dalhart, Texas, to Raymond and Geneva CARLILE. Friends and family will be notified of future gatherings to celebrate his life in Craig and Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory in Montrose. He was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Denver Broncos. Survivors include his sisters, Wanda HASS of Lubbock, Texas and Judy THRONE, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Sue BURNETT.

Funeral services for Joel Charles FORTNER, 40, of Glenpool were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Faith Church in Glenpool with Pastor Matt Blair officiating under the direction of Schaudt’s Glenpool Funeral Service and Cremation Care. Mr. FORTNER was born on May 7, 1971, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Charles and Becky FORTNER. He died on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in Tulsa. He had a career in aviation and worked 18 years with American Airlines. He was a huge OSU football fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a softball and basketball coach, coaching the teams his two daughters played on. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer of the home; two daughters, Laura and Megan of the home; his mother, of Muldrow; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike McCABE of Glenpool; and several other family members and friends. Pallbearers were Mike McCabe, Ricky Belk, Chris Carter, Logan Middleton, Gary Lee Treat, Matt Hillhouse, Jay Hunter and Pat Harper.

Funeral services for Bill T. HOLT, 70, of Vian will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Vian with the Rev. Garry Brown and Kyle Holt officiating. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HOLT was born on Oct. 5, 1941, in Carlile to L.O. HOLT and Phyllis (HASKINS) HOLT. He died on Thursday, March 1, 2012, in Vian. He was a self-employed contractor for over 40 years. He married Meda Rose BAKER on June 4, 1960, in Vian. Survivors include his wife Meda “Posie” HOLT of the home; one daughter, Marla SANFORD of Vian; two sons, Trent HOLT of Vian and Kyle HOLT of McKey; two sisters, Cynthia BRACHT of Choctaw and Cheryl FELTS of Sapulpa; two brothers, Kenneth HOLT and Phillip HOLT, both of Vian; seven grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Holt, Phillip Holt, Trent Holt, Kyle Holt, Japheth Sanford, Hunter Holt, Bill Sanford and Adam Holt.

Funeral services for Lawanna KEIRSEY, 40, of Sallisaw are being held at 10 a.m. Friday at Flower Hill Pentecostal Church with the Rev. James Hill officiating. Burial is at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Spiro. Mrs. KEIRSEY was born on Nov. 16, 1971, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Larry GUINN and Judy (HALE) GUINN. She died on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two children, Tyler BULTER and Mariah BUTLER, both of the home; her mother and stepfather, Judy and Jim WILEY of Sallisaw; father and stepmother, Larry and Linda GUINN of Bokoshe; two sisters, Vikkii GUINN and Brittany WILEY and stepsister, Lisa WEESE, all of Sallisaw; three stepbrothers, Michael STEWART of Heavener, Bobby STEWART of Bokoshe and Michael WILEY of Edmond; and several other family members and friends. Pallbearers are Jeremy Lee, Landen Gipson, Jacob Fargo, Colton Ellis, Roger Guinn, Roger Guinn Jr., Mike Summers and Ricky Butler.

Carlotta Alpha KUYKENDALL of Sallisaw was born on Nov. 13, 1915, in McCoy-Ford to William and Sallie (CHUCULATE) WARNEKE, and passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, in Muskogee at the age of 96. She is survived by two sons, Doug KUYKENDALL and wife, Kate of Eufaula and Dr. Ken KUYKENDALL and wife, Betty of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Sally BRUCE and husband, Darrel of Paris, Texas, Jill MARTIN of Houston, Texas, Carla CAMPBELL and husband, A.O. of Sallisaw, Tammy YANCEY and husband, Johnnie of Choctaw and Kennon Austin KUYKENDALL and wife, Elizabeth of Cary, N.C.; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Austin, and one great-granddaughter, Allen Ashley BRUCE. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sallisaw and a 65-year member of the Pittsburg County Cooperative Extension Service. She loved to garden, cook, quilt and travel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw with Dr. Trevor Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Peters Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Pallbearers will be David Gean, Hunter Bruce, A.O. Burial is at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. MARION was born on June 4, 1927, in Lamar, Ark., to William Herschel OVERBEY and Cora Ann (PITCHFORD) OVERBEY. She died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in Roland. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Bob WALL of Sallisaw; one daughter, Glenda BARNES of Dickinson, Texas; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn LEWIS, her parents, first husband, the Rev. O.J. WALL and second husband, Jim MARION, a grandson and great-granddaughter. Funeral services for Lorene Faye BATY, 66, of Van Buren, Ark., formerly of Sallisaw, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating. Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BATY was born on Nov. 25, 1945, in Fairview to Walter Allen BATY and Rosa Izora (CAVECY) BATY. She died on Monday, March 5, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was an auto parts salesperson. Survivors include one son, David YOUNG of Van Buren, Ark.; one brother, Guy BATY of Muldrow; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Loren, Elmer and Earl BATY.

Eutha WATTS CALLAHAN was born on Dec. 30, 1917, in Drakes Prairie community, the daughter of Ellis Harmon WATTS and Fairy (WAGES) WATTS PETERS. She married Brice K. CALLAHAN on Dec. 5, 1933, in McKey. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2005, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. CALLAHAN was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw. She passed this life on Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Sallisaw. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy ROGERS DUNCAN and Tom of Lake Charles, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Mildred CALLAHAN of Sallisaw; six grandchildren, Phillip ROGERS and his wife, Sheila of Owasso, Patty BROWN and her husband, Mark Anthony of Pineville, La., Greg CALLAHAN and his wife, Jami of Fort Smith, Kendall CALLAHAN and his wife, Lucretia of Iola, Kan., Brad CALLAHAN and his wife, Stacy of Sallisaw and Chris CALLAHAN and his wife, Julie of Dallas, Texas; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Iva ROGERS of Sallisaw; and one brother, James WATTS of Sallisaw. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Betty JOHNSON and five brothers, Dan, Sam, Dale, and Ford WATTS and Bob PETERS. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw with the Rev. Lance Nelson and the Rev. Robert Polvado officiating. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Kenneth Wayne CLARK was born on Nov. 2, 1946, in Needles, Calif., the son of Derwood Clark and Ruby (Thompson) Clark. He married Sharon Kay WOOD on July 6, 1966, in Stilwell. Mr. CLARK was a truck driver for Yellow Freight and Protestant. He entered the service on Feb. 20, 1966, and was honorably discharged on June 1, 1969, with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He went to Vietnam in August of 1966, and was assigned to the 1st Battalion 5th Marines 1st Marine Division, Charlie Company, and was assigned to carry the M60 machine gun. A lot of their missions were search and destroy in the northern part of South Vietnam. He was sent home in September of 1967, spending one year, one month and 10 days in Vietnam. While in the service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device Combat Action Ribbon, Navy U.S.M.C. Presidential Unit Citation, Presidential Unit Citation with one star Meritorious Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal and Rifle Expert Badge. Mr. CLARK passed this life on Friday, March 2, 2012, in Oklahoma City. Survivors are his wife, Sharon CLARK of the home; daughter, Dee HOWELL and husband, Justin of Yukon; two grandchildren, Haley and Dustin HOWELL; three great-grandchildren, Hayden HALL and Wyett and Aubree HOWELL; one sister, JoAnn BROWN of Sallisaw; one brother, Donald CLARK of Sallisaw; close friend, Steve TUBBS; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Dave and Peggy CLARK. Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brushy Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry Copeland officiating. Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Pallbearers were Dustin Howell, Ronnie Medlinger, Dave Clark, Tommy Hall, Nick Ray and Brandon Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Webb and Devlin Brown.

Ellen Louise COLE of Sallisaw was born on Aug. 29, 1922, in Eau Claire, Wis., to Edward H. and Mary Louise (HINDS) MAPPS, and passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Stilwell at the age of 89. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Patricia KIDD of Sallisaw; two sons, William R. COLE and wife, Marilyn of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Dr. Edward R. COLE and wife, Ambré of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Jason KIDD of Sallisaw, Eric COLE of Malibu, Calif., Nicholas COLE of Boston, Mass., Allison COLE of Spokane, Wash., and Christine COLE of Tucson; one great-grandchild, Jocelyn KIDD of Sallisaw; and two nieces and their family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Catherine ADAMS. She attended Journey Church. She loved to do crossword puzzles, knit and watch soap operas. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Jeff Allred officiating. Services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Hester Kenneth GREEN, 98, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial was at Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. GREEN was born on Sept. 30, 1913, in Moore, Ark., to Lynn GREEN and Georgia (LUNSFORD) GREEN. He died on Friday, March 2, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a retired farmer, rancher and coal miner. He married Ada TAYLOR on Oct. 13, 1939, in Sallisaw. She preceded him in death on May 23, 1992. Survivors include seven daughters, Ann MILLER, Viola HARRIS, Barbara Sue CHRISTIE, Brenda COVINGTON and Jeanette BECK, all of Sallisaw, Maxine PATRICK of Broken Arrow and Helen ORF of Oklahoma City; two sons, Lee Arnold GREEN and Ronald GREEN, both of Sallisaw; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Edith HALE, his parents, eight brothers, one sister and his second wife, Edna GREEN. Pallbearers were his grandsons.

Graveside services for James William “Jim” HALL, 59, of Colcord, formerly of Sallisaw, will be held at 11 a.m. Sallisaw City Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Spyers officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HALL was born on Nov. 3, 1952, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Robert Earl “Bob” HALL and Katherine Louise (BROWN) HALL. He died on Monday, March 5, 2012, in Bentonville, Ark. He was a factory worker. Survivors include five sisters, Carol GRAGG and Janice STEWART, both of Spiro, Kathy THOMAS of Mounds, Peggy NUNN of Skiatook and Robin POINDEXTER of Sallisaw; and one brother, Robert E. HALL II of Sallisaw. Pallbearers will be his nephews and brothers-in-law.

Bud JENKINS of Fayetteville, Ark., formerly of Sallisaw, was born on May 8, 1925, in Bauxite, Ark., to Vollie and Myrtle (WALKER) JENKINS and passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012, in Fayetteville at the age of 86. He is survived by two daughters, Donna SEAY and her husband, Frank of Bella Vista, Ark.; and Carol DRISCOLL and her fiancée, Bob WHITE of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Jamie PRUITT and Greg CULP, of Fayetteville, Jerrod DRISCOLL and his wife, Sarah of Siloam Springs, Ark., Brian SEAY and his wife, Shawn of Bentonville, Ark., and Angela ALPE and her husband, Jimmy of Fayetteville; 10 great-grandchildren, Nick and Carly DRISCOLL, Garrett, GARRISON, Grant and Grace PRUITT, Shelby and Ella SEAY, Hayden and Emily ALPE. Bud opened the first golf course in Sallisaw named Sallisaw Country Club in 1966. He was also involved in Shadow Creek Golf Course. Later he was in the motel business. He and his wife Louise lived in Sallisaw for 50 years. He loved life and golf. He and his wife were charter members of Eastside Baptist Church. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Louise (TAYLOR) and two sisters, Maxine JENKINS and Artie WINGER. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel with the Rev. Steve Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Sally GREENFELDER RAMSEY, 72, of Sallisaw was born on Aug. 26, 1939, in LeFlore County to Joe Tom YSNFRLL and Bonnie Oleta (BOTTOMS) YANDELL. She died on Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Sallisaw. Burial of cremains will be at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia MEAD of Lupton, Mich., and Rebecca DRAPEAU of Wilburton; three sons, James GREENFELDER II of Flushing, Mich., John GREENFELDER of Hemdon, Va., and Matthew GREENFELDER of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, John YANDELL of Tehachapi, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lula Arzula SKINNER, 88, of Sallisaw were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gracelawn Cemetery Arbor with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mrs. SKINNER was a nurse’s aide, a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Sallisaw and was a lifelong resident of this area. Survivors include three daughters, Luella Faye STEPHENSIB and husband, Jerry of Wesley, Ark., Retha Jean CARNEY of Gentry, Ark., and Linda Mae CHURCH of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one son, Wesley Ray SKINNER and wife, Connie of Little Rock, Ark.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray SKINNER.

Fuuneral services for Kimberly Dawn WHITAKER, 34, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro with the Rev. Roger Myers officiating. Burial is at Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro. Mrs. WHITAKER was born on Nov. 11, 1977, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Charles Thomas McMILLAN and Carol Jean (TERRY) McMILLAN. She died on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, in East Jordan. She was a manager and of the Assembly of God faith, Survivors include her husband, James of the home; one son, Dylan BARNES of Muldrow; two sisters, Heather NIX and husband, Toby of Waldron, Ark., and Shasta STEFANI and husband, Joe of Heavener; one brother, Randal FRENCH II and wife, Sarah of Heavener; her mother, of Spiro; and grandmother, of Spiro. Pallbearers are Toby Nix, Randall French II, Jackie Barnes, Josh Barnes, Nick Barnes, Bryan Lasiter and Dustin Clark. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, father, Randal French I, one son, Trenton McMillan and a nephew.

Graveside services for Christian Creed CHAMBERS, 12, of Alma, Ark., are being held at noon at the Tahlequah City Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on June 26, 1999, in Tahlequah to Richard Alan CHAMBERS and Andrea Jean (FOSTER) CHAMBERS. He died on Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Natural Dam, Ark. He was a student at Alma Middle School. Survivors include his parents, of Alma; one sister, Codi CHAMBERS of the home; one brother, Curtis CHAMBERS of the home; and his grandparents.

Funeral services for Bonnie Alice HALL, 76, of Sallisaw will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Dicky Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Dwight Mission Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. Hall was born on March 14, 1935, in Marble City to James Wes and Agnes (BIAS) WILSON. She died on Monday, March 5, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. She enjoyed doing crafts, picking blackberries, fishing and visiting with family. Survivors include five sons, Hollis HALL, Lawrence HALL and Allen FLURRY, all of Sallisaw, Wiley HALL and wife, Melissa of Hydro and Glen HALL of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Fern HENDERSON, Ava HONEYCUTT, and Rissie POINDEXTER, all of Sallisaw; one brother, Tommy WILSON of Wagoner; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Tommy Lee FLURRY, one daughter, Agnes Ann HATFIELD, two sisters, Sylvia PHILLIPS and Dollie Belle WILSON, five brothers, Wiley, George, James, Dewey and Frank WILSON, and a grandson. Pallbearers will be members of her family.

“Wild Bill’ William Lynn McCREADY passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in his sleep after a long illness. He was born on April 8, 1950, in Prague to William “Buck” and Martha J. McCREADY. Bill was a retired Master Electrician, an avid sportsman and motorcycle enthusiast, in addition to being President of his 13 Rebel MC Charter 5. Bill was a long time member of the Arkansas Bikers Aiming Towards Education, AMA, MRF and for 14 years was an active committee member in the Mid South M.I.L.E.’s five state educational seminars (Motorcyclists Improving Legislative Effectiveness). Bill is survived by his wife Ann of the home; one son, Chantz McCREADY and his wife, Chrissy of Rogers, Ark.; three daughters, Shelli and her husband, Chris McDANIEL of Bentonville, Ark., Kema and her husband, Frank VASSAR of Dayton, Ohio and Amber and her husband, Jeremiah GIRDLEY of Centerton, Ark.; one sister, Mary Sue WATKINS of Paden; and nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. March 10 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, Ark. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Spradling Baptist Church. Mr. CLARKE was a retired communications technician. He had great wit and always had a smile on his face. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Cornell ADAMS; brother-in-law, Al ADAMS; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Martha Jo CLARKE on Oct. 9, 2010.

Mary Lee CZARNIKOW was born on Oct. 14, 1928, to Eva and Paul Ivey in Tulsa. She passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, in Springdale, Ark. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow. She grew up in the Roland area with her parents and two sisters, Margaret and Terrence. She was fun loving and had many fond memories of socializing with friends and family. She enjoyed reminiscing about all the dancing she did as a young girl. She graduated from Roland High School in 1946. She married Wayne Thomas TATE of Trinity, Texas on May 12, 1949. After his death in February 1950, she returned to Oklahoma. Their daughter Kathy TATE was born in August 1950. Mary went to work at Colonial Bakery in Fort Smith, Ark., and it was there that she met Archie Leon CZARNIKOW. They were married on March 5, 1951. They had one son Archie Glen CZARNIKOW. She was a homemaker until 1963. When she returned to working outside the home, she worked at Riverside Furniture, Ayers Furniture, Fox Manufacturing and enjoyed many years working at the Roland School Cafeteria. She was always a very dependable, hard worker and was well liked by her fellow employees and employers. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her special treats for them were homemade peanut butter fudge and Christmas cheese balls. Her hobbies included reading, listening to music, and playing cards, marble games and dominoes with friends and family. She especially enjoyed traveling across the United States and Canada. One of her most treasured trips was one she and Archie took to Hawaii to visit their son who was stationed in the Air Force there and his family. She was a great cook, and she delighted in cooking for friends and family. Her friends and family have wonderful memories of her cooking on her wood cook stove in a cabin on her and Archie’s farm. While on a tour bus trip to Cape Cod, she developed a love of lighthouses. She is survived by her daughter Kathy EWING and husband, Harold “Butch” of Pryor; and her son, Archie Glen CZARNIKOW and wife, Sharon of Huntsville, Ark.; two sisters, Margaret LOCKWOOD of Roland and Terrence FOX of Granby, Mo. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Archie Jay CZARNIKOW, Robert CZARNIKOW, Allen CZARNIKOW, Kelly EWING and Lisa EWING; eight great-grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Thomas TATE, her parents, Paul and Eva IVEY and her second husband, Archie Leon CZARNIKOW. Pallbearers were Stanley Resch, Richard Czarnikow, Clyde Resch, Ronnie Wilson, David Wilson and Robert Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Floyd, Carl Allison, Perry Smith, Paul Benoit, Art Huges and Steve Bradley. Ralph J. LOUCKS Jr., 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, while living at Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon. He was born on March 17, 1929, in Enid to Ralph and Helen Lena LOUCKS. He graduated from Enid High School in 1947, and joined the U.S. Navy in 1948, serving four years during the Korean Conflict. In 1958 Ralph married Kathleen MONDOUX, the love of his life. It took a special man like Ralph, never married before, to marry a woman and help raise her four young children. Ralph worked for NCR Corp. as a service technician and retired after 35-plus years. In 1992, Ralph and Kathleen moved to Lake Tenkiller. They were truly happy living at the lake and enjoyed fishing and watching the wildlife. Due to health problems, in 2005 Ralph and Kay moved to El Reno and lived with daughter, Diane and husband, Noah. In 2009, Ralph and Kay moved into Ranchwood Nursing Center, sharing a room until his death. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a son, Steven and wife, Helen; Daughter, Patricia McDONALD; four sisters, Eva Lee BLATIMORE, Nadine CHAPMAN, Bertha THOMAS and Helen FISCHER; as well as nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Longtime Vinita resident, Mary Orlena BARNES WEST died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She was born on Dec. 13, 1923, in Alluwe, Okla., the youngest of seven children of Jay Aipheus and Mary Lealon (MORRIS) BARNES. She married Charles Jay WEST on Sept. 2, 1941, in Chelsea. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 2007, after a long and happy marriage. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley Ann CARTER entered this life on Dec. 2, 1942, in Moffett to James and Sadie COLE. Shirley was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She met and married Charles Clarence CARTER Sr. on July 6, 1965, and they lived together in Roland where they had 10 children. Shirley retired from Best Western in 1992, after 35 years of service. She was an active member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Roland. Shirley left this live on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Charles Sr., an infant daughter, a sister, and two brothers. She is survived by four sons, Charles Fredrick and Patricia, Charles Jr. and Kim, Gary and Sharon, all of Fort Smith and Bruce and Penny of Tulsa; a son-in-law, Edward JONES of Fort Smith; five daughters, Sherry ANDRESS and Errol, Brenda and Donna, and Loretta, all of Roland, Charlene MAZE and Draonon, and Lisa RELEFORD and Anthony of Fort Smith; two aunts; four sisters; a sister-in-law; 39 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. CONNELLY was born on Dec. 6, 1932, in Muskogee to Jefferson Davis BEAN and Ella Mae (TERRELL) BEAN. She died on Sunday, March 18, 2012. She was a homemaker and taught at Vian Holiness Academy. She married Will R. CONNELLY Sr. on Aug. 1, 1953, in Prescott, Ariz. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Pamela GRAHAN, Shannon CHOATE and Kirbie JETT, all of Vian; six sons, Will R. CONNELLY Jr. of Marble City and Barney CONNELLY, Stephen CONNELLY, Michael CONNELLY, Robin CONNELLY and Bruce CONNELLY, all of Vian; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Sherman CONNELLY, her parents, seven brothers and sisters, and one granddaughter. Pallbearers are Sheridan, Madison, Travis, Cody, Jacob and Dillon.

Frances Christine FIELDS JORGENSEN passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Gore Nursing Center in Gore. Christine was born at Marble City, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma on Oct. 21, 1910, at the home of her maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Samuel F. MOORE. She was the second child of George W. FIELDS Jr. and Bettie Belle (MOORE) FIELDS, who lived south of Marble City in the Dwight Mission community.Her mother, Bettie MOORE FIELDS, passed away when Christine was 4 years old. At this time Christine and her siblings, Elvina Louise, age 5, Robert Owen, age 2 and Franklin Moore FIELDS, 7 months, moved into the home of her paternal grandparents, George W. Sr., and Martha Jane (SANDERS) FIELDS. The children grew up in this home with their aunt Mary (FIELDS) CONNELLEY, uncles James and Charlie FIELDS, and loving grandparents. Christine attended the Fields Chapel Public School from first grade through eighth grade, the Dwight Mission High School through 11th grade and graduated from the 12th grade at the Sallisaw High School. She attended college for four years at the Presbyterian Church College, “The Asheville Normal And Teachers College” (now Warren Wilson College) in Ashville, N.C., where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After college she began her teaching career in the Brunswick County, North Carolina Public Schools. Later she taught for the U.S. Government Navajo Service in New Mexico and Arizona, where she met her husband, Samuel E. JORGENSEN. They were married on June 19, 1942, in Flagstaff, Ariz. Samuel was a 1937 graduate of Utah State University and was employed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. After World War II, they were assigned to New Mexico, Region 3, of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. In 1948, they were transferred to Region 2, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Minneapolis, Minn., where they lived for 12 years. While in Minneapolis, Christine taught in the Minneapolis City Schools. It was during their stay in Minneapolis that Christine became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. After Minneapolis, Samuel was transferred to the Fish and Wildlife Central Office in Washington, D.C. Christine enjoyed living in the Virginia area from where Sam commuted to work at the U.S. Interior Building and Christine taught at the Wakefield Forest School in Virginia. In 1966, they returned to Minneapolis where Samuel was Assistant Regional Director of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Region 2, until his retirement in 1972. Besides her teaching, Christine’s main hobby was family history. She compiled a book on her immediate and both paternal and maternal families. She was also an excellent seamstress, cook, and homemaker. She loved to travel and accompanied Samuel to many countries of Africa, South America, to Europe many times, Mexico, Jordan, Turkey, the Holy Land and throughout the United States. Christine is retired from the Minneapolis City Schools and is a member of the Minneapolis Retired Teachers Association. After Samuel’s retirement from the Fish and Wildlife Service, he was invited to the IUCN Headquarters in Morges, Switzerland to work on endangered species. Here Christine and Samuel were members of the Epilonges Ward of the LDS Church of Lausanne, Switzerland where they made many friends among the Swiss and German members. When they returned to the United States, they bought a home in River Heights, Utah and were active in the River Heights second and third wards. After Samuel passed away on Jan. 30, 2000, Christine moved to the Williamsburg Retirement Community where she resided until July 2010. Christine then relocated to Emeritus at Willow Brook Retirement Community in Fort Smith, Ark., to be near family. After being hospitalized with pneumonia in January of this year, Christine relocated to Gore Nursing Center in Gore for skilled nursing care. Christine passed this life on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Belle MOORE FIELDS; grandparents, George and Mattie SANDERS FIELDS and Samuel and Sallie CLAPP MOORE; aunt, May FIELDS CONNELLEY; uncles, Jim and Charlie FIELDS; sister, Elvina FIELDS MARRS; brothers, Robert Owen FIELDS and Franklin Moore FIELDS; their spouses; father, George W. FIELDS; stepmother, Vadie MERRIOTT FIELDS; and half-sisters, Lillian FIELDS COWART, Lucille FIELDS RITTER; and half-brother, George W. FIELDS Jr. Christine is survived by five loving nieces and nephews, Mary Katherine and Charles SLOAN of Vian, Linda Ruth and Donald PRUITT of Lewisville, Texas, Larry and Arlinda FIELDS of Oklahoma City, Betty Van MARKHOVEN of Broken Arrow and Raymond FIELDS of Lompoc, Calif.; cousin, Neal and Rhonda CONNELLEY of Jefferson City, Mo.; and half-brothers, William FIELDS of Vian and Herbert FIELDS of Tulsa. Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, conducted by Bishop Dr. Bruce O’Very of the River Heights 3rd Ward. Arrangements are under the direction of the Allen-Hall Mortuary of Logan, Utah.

Burial was at Seabolt Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. MORGAN was born on Dec. 30, 1931, in Keefton to Leonard Roosevelt CLIMER and Maggie Melvina (LIMORE) CLIMER. She died on Friday, March 16, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was a quality control inspector at Whirlpool. She married Clinton A. MORGAN on Oct. 11, 1949, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1993. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Shannon ALLEN of Muldrow; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Debbie MORGAN of Muldrow; one daughter-in-law, Jerrie MORGAN of Muldrow; three sisters, Cora SPEIR and Betty McCLURE, both of Salina and Martha HOWELL of Sallisaw; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Harley THOMPSON, one son, Bob MORGAN, one sister, Tressie WILSON and one brother, Leroy CLIMER. Pallbearers were her nephews.

Doyal Alvin POWELL, 60, of Van Buren, Ark., died on Sunday, March 18, 2012, in a local nursing home. No formal services are planned. Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. He was a heavy equipment operator in the oilfield.

She was preceded in death by her father.

He died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Bentonville, Ark. He was a retired knife sharpener. Survivors include three daughters, Edna Mae COOK, Donna Renee JUMP and Tammy Lynn FLETCHER; one son, Sammy Wayne BRANHAM; one sister; three brothers; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, one great-grandson, three sisters and two brothers. GRAY and Viola Belle (TUDOR) GRAY. He died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in Muldrow. He worked as an auto parts salesman for 16 years at Goble Auto Parts in Okmulgee. He was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran and pastor, deacon, songleader and Sunday School bus driver. He married Janice Fay BATY on Nov. 1, 1966, in Poteau. Survivors include his wife, Janice GRAY of the home; two daughters, Bobbie Jean MARKHAM and Gwendlyn Fay BENN; two sons, Bobbie Alfred GRAY and Roy DEAN; one sister, Norma Jean BOYD; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ruby ROLLER and five brothers, Alfred, Johnnie, Bill, Roy and Jimmy MEEK. Mr. MITCHELL was born on July 23, 1947, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Raymond Webster MITCHELL and Blanche (DEATHERAGE) MITCHELL. He died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his mother, of Roland; one sister, Phyllis WYLIE of Roland; one brother, Curtis and wife, Margie MITCHELL of Fort Smith; and several other family members and friends. Mrs. PERRY was born on Jan. 12, 1932, in Little Rock, Ark., to John Wayne and Agnes (Pete) BAUTTS. She died on Sunday, March 18, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. PERRY graduated from the University of Bacone, Muskogee and worked at the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, in Lubbock, Texas. She married Elvis Arthur PERRY on Sept. 13, 1958. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa and Dwayne IRBY of Odessa, Texas and Colleen and Mark SCORGIE of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Weldon “Sam” and Katie PERRY of Providence, RI., and Brad and Karen PERRY of Flint, Texas; one sister, Jo BLAND of Milton, Fla.; one brother, John and Sarah FORD of Rogers, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Dee Pat DOBBS Jr., of Sallisaw was born on May 15, 1933, in Seminole to Dee P. and Effie (POWER) DOBBS and passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Muldrow at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae DOBBS of the home; three daughters, Cynthia Diane BARGER-MOORE and husband, Larry of Sallisaw, Maria LONG and husband, Roger of Vian and Valerie PARKER and husband, Bill of Texarkana, Ark.; one son, Dennis DOBBS and wife, Karen of Muldrow; two nieces, Jaquita BEENE of Seminole and Jeanette CABINISS of Sallisaw; 12 grandchildren, Allan STEWART and wife, Brandy, Bridgette WILSON and husband, Stephen, Billy EPPLER, Lacie WILSON and husband, Andy, Chylsea BARGER, Alex DOBBS, Nick MOEN, Hayley DOBBS, Kendra DOBBS, Shanna LONG, and Beverly BARGER-ELK and husband, Sam; four and one half great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Pat MADSEN and Ruby BEENE. He joined the Navy in 1952. Dee married Ella in 1957. He served in the Navy and retired BMC (Boatswains Mate Chief). He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He moved to Sallisaw in 1977, where he retired from Sequoyah Fuel. He was a businessman in Sallisaw. He retired in 2000. He was a past Commander of the Fleet Reserve Association in Fort Smith, Ark., a member of VFW Post 4518, Knights of Columbus and a member of the Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She died on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. She sang with the Methodist Village Singers and attended Arkoma First Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Carol REED and husband, Larry of Casa Grande, Ariz.; one daughter-in-law, Erma MOORE of Hackett, Ark.; one sister, Patsy SHEETZ and husband, Ronnie of Spiro; one brother, Stearl GIST and wife, Kay of Fort Coffee; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A private interment was held in Tulsa. Mrs. REED was born on July 5, 1922, in Vian to Richard and Monnie FLETCHER. She died on Monday, March 19, 2012, in Stockton. She worked most of her life as a typist for San Joaquin County Probation Department. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was active with the White Cross and Saturday Night Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Survivors include three children, Richard and Elizabeth REED, Glenn REED and Neta NEWKIRK; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She married Pink James SNIDER on May 25, 1971, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2001. Survivors include several family members and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Neoma WOFFARD, Emmy TABOR and Edna SUTTON and one brother, Edgar BLAYLOCK. James A. WHITE of Vian was born on Oct. 4, 1927, in Mississippi to Walter Robert and Mamie Lee (LIVINGSTON) WHITE and passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012, in Vian at the age of 84. Funeral services for Floyd Edward YOUNG, 85, of Roland will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Westside Church of Christ in Vian with Bro. Kenneth Averett officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. YOUNG was born on Sept. 28, 1926, in Belleville, Ark., to Albert Elmer YOUNG and Eva Mae (HUFF) YOUNG. He died on Monday, March 26, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a woodworker at Riverside Furniture. He married Mona Christene SPENCER on Jan. 21, 1950, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Mona YOUNG of the home; four daughters, Kathy ROBINSON of Coweta, Monna EWING of Oklahoma City and Darla WINSTON and Brenda WRIGHT, both of Roland; one son, Jonathan YOUNG of Roland; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and a grandson.

Funeral services for Tommy Dale BRIGGS, 58, of Webbers Falls are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sasakwa Assembly of God Church with Bro. Wesley Martin officiating. Burial is at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka. Mr. BRIGGS was born on Nov. 17, 1953, in Andrews, Texas to Marvin BRIGGS and Marie (DOUGLAS) BRIGGS. He died on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in Webbers Falls. He was self-employed as owner of Variety Store in Konawa and Henryetta. He married Shirley Ann HOUSE on Jan. 17, 1975, in Ada. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Shirley BRIGGS of Webbers Falls; son, Jerry BRIGGS and daughter-in-law, Jodi of Webbers Falls; daughter, Shirletta ARMS and son-in-law, Shane of Macomb; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Patricia WATKINS and husband, James of Webbers Falls; brother, Donny BRIGGS and wife, Linda of Azle, Texas; Ray BRIGGS of Webbers Falls, Texas; and Jerry MOORE of Springfield, Ill.; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter. Pallbearers are Robby House, Gene Briggs, Danny Briggs, Mike Trent, Billy Stuckey, Rickey House and Chris Rigney.

Mr. Crouch was born on Sept. 24, 1936, in Muncie, Ind., to Earl and Eva CROUCH. He died on Monday, March 26, 2012. Funeral services for Rufus Wayne “Tige” MOCK, 85, of Keller, Texas, formerly of Sallisaw, are being held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Brian Zinck officiating. Burial will be held at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born June 14, 1926, in Addington to G.C. and Frances MOCK. He died on Saturday, March 24, 2012, in Keller. He married Bivra Jean CASEY on June 9, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. She preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 2003. Mr. MOCK was a 1944 graduate of Addington High School and a graduate of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he received his degree in engineering. He was a wire line engineer and was employed by Otis Engineering Company in Dallas and worked on oil wells located on oil platforms in Lake Maricabo, Venezuela, South America. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law, Chooky and Don LeTOURNEAU of Hurst, Texas, Bonnie and Terry JOHNSON of Vian and Heather and Alan BRADY of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren, Heidi BRIGHT of Castles Hill, Texas, Dani McINTOSH of New York, N.Y., Madison, McKENZIE and Morgan BRADY, all of Omaha, Neb., Joy Denny BUSH of Sallisaw, Isaac DENNY and Maggie JOHNSON, both of Vian; four great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Bella BRIGHT of Castles Hill and Molly BUSH and Wyatt TAYLOR, both of Sallisaw; and five sisters-in-law, Doris E.
