Graveside services for Brenda Sue ALLEN, 43, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Round Mountain Cemetery, west of Vian, with the Rev Vernon Stone officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born Feb. 16, 1965, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Starlin Tex ALLEN and Violet Josephine (RADFORD) ALLEN. She died Monday, Dec 29, 2008, in Fort Smith. Survivors include her mother, of Vian; two sisters, Alice and Emma; four brothers, Steve, Marlin, Keith and Ronnie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Paul RADFORD.

Funeral services for Thomas BLACKBIRD, 77, of Vian, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Revs Dwain Hardbarger and Charlie Holcomb officiating. Burial is in McCoy Evening Shade Cemetery, north of Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. BLACKBIRD was born March 9, 1931, in Evening Shade, to Tom BLACKBIRD and Lydia (STUDIE) BLACKBIRD. He died Sunday, Dec 28, 2008, in Vian. Survivors include one son Dennis; one sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Jim; one nephew; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; and several cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for D. C. CHERRY, 85, of Muldrow, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Rev. Thomas Corringan officiating. Burial was in Muldrow Memory Garden, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. CHERRY was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Paw Paw, to Dave C. CHERRY and Eva Lou LANGFORD. He died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, in Muldrow. He married Robbie Sue CONDREN, Dec. 15, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Robbie Sue of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Pat Allen and Rosemary, Don Page and Charlene, Rickey D. and Vickie, and L.A. and Kathy; four daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Sue and Wesley, Vicki and Danny, Betty and Ron, and Marsha and Dale; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Melvin CHERRY and three sisters, Lillian SMITH, Hazel HIXON and Dorothy CHERRY.

Rosalia Mary COTTRELL, 63, of Sallisaw, died on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. COTTRELL was born May 29, 1945, in Chicago, Ill., to Peter Michael MILLS and Maria (RICHESON) MILLS. She married Cecil Jim COTTRELL, June 25, 1976, in Riverside, Calif. He preceded her in death, June 22, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two daughters, Chris and Lorrie; two sons, Richard and Peter; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Richard; and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dale Darlene MORRIS COX, 69, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Vian High School Auditorium in Vian with the Rev. T. D. Drew officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. COX was born Oct. 13, 1939, in Sycamore, to Jim Watt MORRIS and Louella (SMITH) MORRIS. He died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in Vian. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Keith; one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Laura; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie and Ludie; one brother, Henry; one nephew; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Hastings, Sonny and Hoolie MORRIS and two sisters, Ellen TILLER and Jewel FRANKLIN.

Funeral services for Buster T. DAVIS, 87, of Vian, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Blackgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial is in Box Cemetery, north of Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. DAVIS was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Blackgum, to Charley A. DAVIS and Lula Ann (McFARLAND) DAVIS. He died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in Vian. He married Freeda M. BAKER, Jan. 1, 1940, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Freeda of the home; one daughter, Sandra; one son, Jerry; two sisters, Mary and Melvin; five brothers, Robert Benson, Wylie, Albert “Doc”, Raymond “Red”, and Jack; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna FURY in 2006, his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Frank FORD, 80, of Sallisaw, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Chapel in Sallisaw with the Revs. Carl Page and Leon Farley officiating. Burial was in Dwight Mission Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. FORD was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Dwight Mission, to Robert Clifton FORD and Edna (ROBERTSON) FORD. He died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Marie of the home; one sister, Doris; and a host of friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Carlena, and two daughters.

Funeral services for Andy J. GIPSON, 88, of Muldrow, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow with the Rev. Ted Stamps and David Key officiating. Burial was in Blackjack Cemetery, in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. GIPSON was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Muldrow, to Coleman A. GIPSON and Maud HURT. He died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in Muldrow. He married Nelma Lea FOLSOM, Feb. 27, 1943, in Sallisaw. She preceded him in death, March 11, 2008, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Virginia and Frank, Lynda and David, and LaVeta; one son and daughter-in-law, Max and Sandi; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linnie; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and sisters and three grandchildren, Kristopher, Justin and Ashley GUNTER.

Funeral services for Hazel Faye HIXSON, 90, of Tahlequah, formerly of Muldrow, were held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Rev. Carl Fugett officiating. Burial was in the U.S. National Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. HIXSON was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Muldrow, to Dave C. CHERRY and Eva Lou (LANGFORD) CHERRY. She died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in Tahlequah. She married Evert HIXSON, May 7, 1937, in Muldrow. He preceded her in death, June 11, 2005, in Muskogee. Survivors include three daughters, Sheryal Jean, Carol Janet, and Pamela Ann; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Melvin and D. C. CHERRY and two sisters, Lillian SMITH and Dorothy CHERRY.

Graveside services for Perry McNAIR Jr., 62, of Sallisaw, are being held at 12 p.m. Wednesday at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Dr. Lee Woodard officiating, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro. Mr. McNAIR was born March 28, 1946, in Kittery, Mass., to Perry Rich Sr. and Charlotte (ROGERS) McNAIR. He died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Drucella of the home; two daughters, Amy and Jenenna; three sons, Perry R., III, Vince and Michael; two sisters, Phyllis and Marlene; mother, Charlotte MASKER; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Harland MASKER.

Funeral services for Frank OWENS, 91, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Rev. Charles Gower officiating. Burial was in Muldrow Memory Garden, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. OWENS was born Jan. 14, 1917, in Cottonwood, to Marion Franklin OWENS and Cassie Maud (ROGERS) OWENS. He died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in Sallisaw. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, M. L. and Phyllis, Carl and Joyce, and Patrick and Zoe; three grandchildren; five great-grandsons; two sisters, Velma and Lois; one brother, Dale; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alean (TRAWEEK) OWENS, two sisters, Anges MORTON and Beulah WATTS, one brother, Willard OWENS and two great-grandchildren, Emello ZUNIGA and Brook OWENS.

Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, in Muskogee, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. SALLINGS was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Braggs, to Wesley Sr. and Effie (DUNBACK) SALLINGS. He died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in Webbers Falls. He married Reba SIMMONS, Feb. 2, 1975, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Reba SALLINGS of the home; two step-children, Jo Ann, and Rick and Connie; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Harold Dean WALLACE, 77, of Muldrow, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Revs. Tom Barton, Raymond Chronister and Bro. Blake Rainwater officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery, in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. WALLACE was born April 12, 1931, in Maple, to Lester WALLACE and Mae (TORBETT) WALLACE. He died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Claris MORGAN, Dec. 22, 1951, in Van Buren, Ark. She preceded him in death, July 19, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Dr. Jon, and Carol and Darrell; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Gary and Deborah, Michael, and Dwight and Gail, and Terry and Lisa; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bernice, Joann, and Mildred; and four brothers, Herbert, Junior, Sanford, and Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dale and Bobby Don.

Funeral services for Jimmy Ray WILSON, 57, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Randy Farmer officiating. Burial was in Seabolt Cemetery, north of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. WILSON was born March 1, 1951, in Muldrow, to Curtis WILSON and Tressie (CLIMER) WILSON. He died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in Sallisaw. He married Shondean WATSON GOSCINSKI, Sept. 6, 2006, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Shondean of the home; four daughters, Tena, Cyndi, Judy and Latricia; two sons, Curtis and Chris; mother; two sisters, Pam and Angie; two brothers, Timmy and Larry; 20 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Darrell WILSON.

Burial was in Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. CHERRY was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Paw Paw, to William O. CHERRY Sr. and Nettie (SCOTT) CHERRY. He died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in Sallisaw. He married Inez NORMAN, Nov. 14, 1941, in Paw Paw. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Inez of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Dwight; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Gina; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, J.T. and Hermena; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Mildred, Alta, and Norma Jo and Wayne, and Bernice; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Eula PAYNE and Evelyn GREEN and two brothers, Orville Doc CHERRY and Fritts CHERRY.

Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. GASH was born May 20, 1947, in Oklahoma City, to Owen V. GASH and Virginia Lee (LINKER) GASH. He died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in Tulsa. Survivors include one brother, David; and a host of friends.

Burial is in New Hope Cemetery, in Spiro, under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Mrs. HAMBY was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Nubbin Ridge, to J.O. and Jessie GOFF. She died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in Spiro. Survivors include one son, Geary and wife, Sue; three daughters, Kathy Diane, Pansey Kay and her husband, James, and Mary Sue and her husband, Benny; brother, James Ray and his wife, Ann; three sisters, Dorothy, Thena Fay and her husband, Don, and Erma and her husband, Layne; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Burial is in the Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. JAMES was born Oct. 17, 1935, in Badger Lee, to William Henry WOODS and Modene (STEELY) WOODS. She died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married William Kenneth JAMES Sr., July 19, 1952, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, Ken of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill and Rhonda, and Mark Dewayne; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; mother; one sister and brother-in-law, Fran and Nelson; one aunt, Emma; one niece; twin great-niece and nephew; and several other relatives and friends. Edward Daniels officiating, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. YOUNG was born Feb. 26, 1947, in Sallisaw, to William B. YOUNG and Margaret (LEONARD) YOUNG. He died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, in Sallisaw. Survivors include three sisters, Velma, Ella Marie, and Janae and Charlie; one brother, Robert and Donna; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Danny Lee YOUNG.

Burial was in Box Cemetery, in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs CATO was born March 27, 147, in Claude, Texas, to Ivan Lonnie GROSSMAN and Frances Fern (McCLELLAN) GROSSMAN. She died Saturday, Jan 3, 2009, in Tulsa. She married Billy Eugene CATO, July 15, 1964, in Clayton, N M. Survivors include her husband, Bill of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark and Sherry, Darryl and Ginger, and Chris; two grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley, Patsy and Betty; two brothers, Bob and James; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Francis Loverne GROSSMAN.

Burial was in Flute Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. FLUTE was born April 13, 1924, to John Jr. FLUTE and Mollie (MUSH) FLUTE. He died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Rosie, and Nita and Jerry; one son, Leon; one sister, Sarah; two brothers, Johnnie Mack and Calvin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Leona, great-granddaughter, Kylee Faith GRIMMETT, two brothers, Thomas and Homer FLUTE and one sister, Betty CHRISTIE.

Burial was in Citizens Cemetery, in Fort Gibson, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson. Mr. GLADD was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Tahlequah, to Joseph “Tang” and Pauline (LOWERY) GLADD. He died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, in Tahlequah. He married Joan BENGE, June 20, 1953, in Tahlequah. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joan GLADD of the home; son, Lee “Bully”; two granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-grandson; three great-granddaughters; sisters, Betty Jo, Sarah and her husband, Charles, Patti and her husband, Jim, Jean and her husband, Glenn, and Gladys and her husband, M. Cremation will be under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Salliaw. Mrs LAMON was born May 6, 1932, in Pond Creek, to Frank HUGHES and Opal Esther HUGHES LeBLANC. She died Sunday, Jan 4, 2009, in Vian. She married Roland "Jim" LAMON, Dec 27, 1972, in Security, Colo. Survivors include her husband, Jim of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Paul; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert, Harry and Elizabeth, and Thomas and Chrlie; two grandsons; five great-grandchldren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and June, and Leon and Suzanne; and step-mother, Wsirh HUGHES. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Lee PHERSON, one great-grandson, Jaiden DOZIER and her parents.  

Funeral services for J.W. McALPIN, 84, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial is in the U.S. National Cemetery, in Fort Smith, with full military honors, under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mr. McALPIN died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Marie McALPIN of Fort Smith; two daughters, Debbie and JoAnn; one step-daughter, Mary; three sons, David, Rickie and Dickie; three step-sons, Larry, Able and Tim; three sisters, Louven, Peggy and Charlene; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Charles C. MacLACHLAN, 54, will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Riverton, Wyo. Mr. MacLACHLAN was born April 28, 2954, in Austin, Minn. He died Wednesday, Dec 31, 2008. Survivors include two sons, Jeremy and his wife Cindy, and Joshua and his wife, Jessica; four grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara and her husband, Howard, and Charlene and her husband, Steve. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. MacLACHLAN, mother, Lois M. (BARKER) MacLACHLAN, and brother, Denny MacLACHLAN.

Graveside services for Freda Alene McMILLON, 49, of Sand Springs, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. McMILLON was born Jan. 16, 1959, in Jackson, Miss., to Freddie McMILLON and Durie Bernice (GOBLE) McMILLON. She died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, in Sand Springs. Survivors include companion, Doyle; one daughter, Melissa Bernice; four sons, Billy Ray, Arthur Reid, Ricky Byron and Reford Lee; two sisters, Shelly Bernice and Starr Lin; one brother, Richard Willis; 10 grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Jawanda Ann “Jo” BEGLEY-MOZINGO, 73, of Pryor, were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Pryor. Graveside services were at 4 p.m. in Akins Cemetery, in Sallisaw, under the direction of Key Funeral Home of Pryor. Mrs. MOZINGO was born May 24, 1934, in Kellyville, to Floyd Woodrow BEGLEY and Lenora Dovie (MOORE) BEGLEY. She died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, in Pryor. Survivors include her husband, Bob MOZINGO of Pryor; one brother, Clinton; one sister, Elaine and her husband, Greg; two daughters, Myrl and her husband, Rick, and Jana; son, Troy J. “T.J.” and his wife, Betsy; step-daughters, Debbie, and Sherri and her husband, Danny; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clayton Edward BEGLEY of Oologah.

Mrs. QUEEN was born Sept 2, 1961, in Prince William County, to David Mitchell BLAKE and Molly Bell (LESTER) BLAKE. She died Sunday, Jan 4, 2009, in Vian. She married Tommy QUEEN, April 9, 1973 in Virginia. Survivors include her husband, Tommy QUEEN of the home; two daughters, Decola and Tonya; and two sisters, Wilda and Beverly.  

Memorial services for Lisa Ann WALLACE, 47, of Muldrow, will be held at 10 a m Friday at the First Baptist Church in Poteau, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. WALLACE was born Dec 2, 1961, in Tulsa. She died Monday, Jan 5, 2009, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death, Nov. 27, 1994, in Sallisaw. Survivors include four nieces, Brenda, Cindy, Lyn and Patricia; two nephews, Mike and James; and one sister-in-law, Patsy. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Michael HEAPE and Jack PHILLIPS, one son, Connie Mike HEAPE, her parents and seven brothers, Virgil, Bob, W.F., “PeeWee” and four infant brothers.

Murlene ARMSTRONG, 59, of Van Buren, Ark., died on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, in a local hospital. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mrs. ARMSTRONG was born on Aug. 28, 1949, in Truman, Ark.  . Survivors include three daughters, Janet, Tracy and Mandy; one son, Alan; three sisters, Christine, Billie and Lula; and two brothers, Richard and Jackie.

Robert Lee BECKHAM, 76, of Gore, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, in Muskogee. He was born Nov. 28, 1932 in Mulberry, Ark. to Emmitt and Lois (COPE) BECKHAM. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Survivors include one son, Ronald; two sisters, Betty Sue and Ruth; and one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bettie BECKHAM, one son, Roger BECKHAM, four brothers, Bobby, J.L., Darrel and Jerrel BECKHAM.

She married Edwin Glen BRUMBAUGH, Dec. 3, 1993, in Oklahoma City. Survivors include her husband, Edwin of the home; one daughter, Melissa; one son, Jason; mother; two sisters, Roberta and Norma; one brother, Billy Ray; and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother.

Graveside services for Mary Edith DOTSON, 77, of Muldrow, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Forrest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston, Ark. Mrs. DOTSON was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Ursula, Ark., to Russell D. JETTON and Mary R. JETTON. She died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, in Muldrow. Survivors include three daughters, April, Joann and Shirley; one brother, Roy; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

DOYEL and Eva (CASEY) DOYEL CLARDY. He died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, in Fort Smith. He married LouAnna EAGLE, May 2, 2008, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, LouAnna DOYEL of the home; three daughters, Stacey, Ginnie. and Miranda; two sons, Michael and Brandon; two grandchildren; mother; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leslie and Mark, and Susan and Michael; one brother and sister-in-law, Casey and Elisha; step-mother, Shirley DOYEL ; special aunts and uncles including, Jessie, Joice and Vinita; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son.

Rickie Dean FOLKS, 49, of Sallisaw, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, in Sallisaw. He was born May 22, 1959 in Muskogee to Tracie FOLKS and Lois (CARPENTER) FOLKS. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Survivor include two brothers, Dr. David and his wife, Dianne, and Michael and his wife, Robin; mother, Lois FOLKS; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Burial will be in Weddington Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. JOHNSON was born Oct. 2, 1919, in Weddington, Ark., to Troy COOPER and Pearl COOPER FRITTS. She died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, in Fort Smith. She married Johnnie J. JOHNSON, Oct. 17, 1937, in Washington County, Arkansas. He preceded her in death, Jan. 25, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two sons, Kendall Allen and Monte; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Maxine CASSAT and Virgie MASON and one brother, Allen COOPER.

Betty Payne, Joe Neel and Robert Neel officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. NEEL was born Sept. 1, 1912, in Sallisaw, to Joe McMURTREY and Louisa BRACKETT. She died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, in McKinney. Survivors include one daughter, Betty; two sons, Joe and Robert; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Inos HERRICK of Silverton, Ore.; and several other relatives and friends. She died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Alvis A. ENGLAND, Feb. 15, 1944, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death, March 7, 1996, in Fort Smith. Mr. GROSS was born Sept 27, 1932, in Lockney, Texas, to Floyd Evans GROSS and Leslie Bell BURNS. He died Tursday, Jan 22, 2009 in Gans. He married Doris Marie MANZER, Nov 9, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nev. She preceded him in death, Feb 28, 2003, in Gans. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Andy, and Cynthia and Pete; one sister, Bennie; four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other reltaives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Francis STUTEVILLE and four brother, Roland, Jerrell, Oliver and everett GROSS.

Mrs. POINDEXTER was born July 7, 1941, in Sallisaw, to Jesse CANTRELL and Nettie (TOUNZEN) CANTRELL. She died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, Billy of the home; one daughter, Pam and her husband, Glen; two sons, Billy Don and his wife, Gale, and Steven; four sisters, Salina, Lucy, Vanda and Marie; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Mrs. SUAREZ was born July 25, 1912, in Campo Du Ron, Argentina, to Thelmo SUAREZ and Nolberta GUITIAREZ. She died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in Sallisaw. Survivors include three daughters, Elana, Olivia and Rosa; three sons, Gary, Fransisco and Gorje; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for William J. “Bill” WARBURTON, 78, of Arkoma, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, in Spiro, under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. Mr. WARBURTON died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Majorie of the home; one daughter, Phyllis; two sons, William R. and Robert L.; one sister, Joan; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
