Robert Hudson "Bob" MAYO, 89-year-old planter of Monroe County, Ark., died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at the family home south of Holly Grove, Ark. Born Dec. 5, 1915, in Sallisaw. Born to W.D. and Jesse WHEELER MAYO.  Mr. MAYO and Janice BALLOWE DEATON were married in April 1974. They were married 30 years until her death on Dec. 22, 2004. They are survived by their children; Gene Allen and his wife, Joyce, Janet, Dr. John Mooring, Robert Dale and his wife, Joan, William Richard, Walter Pointer, James Wheeler and his wife, Terri, Carol and husband, John, and Marion and his wife, Robbie. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joint funeral services with his wife, Janice, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27 at the Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Clarendon, Ark. Burial was in the Valley Grove Cemetery near the Mayo home place.

Graveside services for Rocland E. SMITH, 18, of Stigler, were held at 2:30 p.m., Friday at Whitefield Cemetery with the Rev. Ron King officiating, under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. He was born on Sept. 19, 1986, in Oklahoma City to Roc and Jane (SCOTT) SMITH. He died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, in Tamaha. Survivors include his mother, Jane MANN; five sisters, Stephanie, Daphne, Bethany, Rockne, and Rocsemane; three brothers-in-laws, Tony , P.J, and Adam.

Funeral services for Darrell TURMAN, 45, of Huntington, Ark., were held at 10 a.m., Friday at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenwood, Ark., under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. TURMAN died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, in his home. He was a tree trimmer. Survivors include one son, Dwayne TURMAN of San Diego; his mother and step-father, Jeanetta and Ralph INGRAM of Fort Smith; three sisters, Patty McGEHEE of Muldrow, Audra REDDEN of Roland and Cheryl RIDDLE of Durant; three brothers, Wally and Billy INGRAM, both of Fort Smith and Glenn INGRAM of Muldrow; two step-daughters, Mikale INDERLIED of Buffalo, Texas and Samantha THRASHER of Skiatook; five step-sons, John and Aaron NAVE of Fort Smith, Darrell FARLEY and Joe NAVE of Van Buren, Ark. and Jimmy COOK of Clarksville, Ark.

Funeral services for Moody Ray BLAYLOCK, 69, of Muldrow, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Muldrow First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Tim Ohls, Don George and Kevin Peterson officiating. Burial was in Lee's Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville, Ark.  He was born on March 14, 1935, in Muldrow, to Ray and Lucille (SHACKELFORD) BLAYLOCK. He died on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Margaret BLAYLOCK; one son, Marshall; one daughter, Dalana; six grandchildren; and one sister, Kay.

Private interment services for Donald Eugene BLUNIER, 74, of Fort Smith, Ark., will be held at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She married Orlen MATLOCK on March 7, 1929, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1973, in Fort Smith. She was born on Jan. 17, 1908, in Prineville, Ore., to Christopher William EHRET and Marie KRUGER EHRET. She died on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, in Sallisaw. She married Edgar Waldo MERONEY on Nov. 9, 1930, in Pomona, Calif. He preceded her in death in 1975. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn and Beverly and her husband Melvin; one son, Gilbert and his wife Mildred; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard; one nephew; two nieces; several cousins and other relatives and friends. She died on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, in Vian. She married William Lee SMITH on Sept. 9, 1949, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1999. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Sept. 26, 1913, in Sallisaw, to Henry Russell MEADOWS and Addie Mae (McCOMBS) MEADOWS. She died on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, in Tulsa. She married Perry Bradley WALLS on Dec. 26, 1935, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1962. He was born on April 4, 1914, in Drakes Prairie, to Benjamin Paten CALLAHAN and Sarah Elizabeth (SHOOK) CALLAHAN. He died on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Eutha CALLAHAN on Dec. 5, 1933, in McKey. Funeral services for Helen Louise PARKER, 100, of Vian, will be held in Ecuador with burial of ashes, under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith, Ark. She was born on Oct. 18, 1904, in Saranac Lake, N.Y., to Dr. Herman B. and Helen Caroline PARKER. She died on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, in Vian. She is survived by two daughters, Susan and Elsa; two sons, Albert and David ; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one grandson.

He was born on Aug. 26, 1914, in Frederick, to Eugene N. SMITH and Minnie (TRAMMEL) SMITH.  He died on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, in his home. Mr. Smith married Luta W. TAYLOR on Oct. 10, 1936, in Guthrie. Survivors include his wife, Luta SMITH of the home; one son, Don and his wife Katherine; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Troy; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lawrence and two sisters, Alma and Leetrice.

She died on Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, in her home. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Jean; two sons, William Clayton and Joe Carson; three sisters, Helena Jane, Lucille Irene and Wilma Blanche; two brothers, Charlie Bill and Ralph Carson; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bertie A. ADCOCK; her parents, William Clayton OHM and Lilly Blanche (THACKER) OHM.

BRUNK Sr., 62, of Rye Hill, are being held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Faith Baptist church in Jenny Lind, with burial at Old Jenny Lind Cemetery, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Ark. Mr. Brunk died on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Lois J. Sylvia J. GARRISON, 48, of Muldrow, died on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, in Muldrow. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on June 7, 1956, in Little Rock, Ark., to Sheridan WEIR and Phyllis HILL WEIR. She married Ernest Wayne GARRISON on Sept. 15, 1997, in Mobile, Ala. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Ira and Ian; one brother, Eddie; and several cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Rebecca Maxine GRAY, 79, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at the Assembly of God Church in Westville, with the Rev. Mike Hayes officiating. Burial was in Westville City Cemetery, under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville. She was born on Aug. 27, 1925, in Madison, Kan., to Erie HONEYMAN and Mildred (FULLER) HONEYMAN. She died on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, in Quail Ridge Nursing Home in West Siloam Springs. . Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and his wife, Wendy, and Joe and his wife, Joy; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Becky and her husband Kelly, Claudia, and Anna Belle and her husband Joe; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Corrine and her husband Bud; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Allen, and Bob and his wife, Deloris. She was born on March 15, 1922, in Short, to Thomas Oliver KNAPP and Georgia Ellen DENNY. She died on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, in Nicut.  Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty and her husband Michael, and Sharon and Janice and her husband Johnny; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and his wife Ann, Donald and his wife Shirley, and Phillip and his wife Maxine; 21 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul MATHEWS; two brothers, Charles and Troy KNAPP; two sons, Kenneth MATHEWS and David MATHEWS and one infant grandson.

Funeral services for Sophronia Irene QUALLS, 81, of Gore, are being held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Tabernacle in Gore with the Rev. Jim Murphy officiating. Burial is in Tom Girty Cemetery in Webbers Falls under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. Qualls was born on March 17, 1923, in Webbers Falls, to Jim and Cherokee Crapo. She died on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, in Gore. She married Edward Paul QUALLS on Oct. 25, 1942. Survivors include her husband, Edward Paul QUALLS of the home; her children, Jimmie Edward, Kenneth Andrew, Ronald Wayne and Paula Jean; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Florence "Pete" and Ivy. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services for David Clark FULLER, 58, of Tulsa, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gore United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Mark Howard, Ray Wallace and Terry Ewing officiating. Burial was in Caney Cemetery near Tahlequah, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore. He was born on July 2, 1946 in Stilwell, to Clarence Arthur FULLER and Dorothy Elizabeth (BIGGS) FULLER. He died on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 in Gore. Mr. FULLER married his first wife, Nancy Jeannine Weir FULLER on March 18, 1967, in Beggs. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2002. He married his second wife, Marion Elizabeth STEITZ BLEVINS on Oct. 15, 2004, in Tulsa. Survivors include his wife, Marion FULLER of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Jeannine and Michael; two sons and daughters-in-law, David Loren and Mary Katherine, and Justin Arthur and Nicole Claris; eight grandchildren; his father, Clarence FULLER, four sisters, Janice, Verna, Frankie and Phyllis, one brother: Lewis; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Rachel.

Funeral services for Lonnie Floyd HUNTER, 81, of Alma will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites. He died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 in an area hospital. Survivors include his wife, Dewilla HUNTER of the home; two daughters, Joette and Brenda; one son, David; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one God child, Casey Lynn; three sisters, Mildred, Sue and Alivern; two brothers, Leonard and Alvin.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Plummer and Bessie HUNTER; two brothers, Harvey and Earl HUNTER; and one step-son Billy HUNTER.

Funeral services for Alfred "Bud" JONES, 58, of Greenwood, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial in Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. He died on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, in a Fort Smith hospital. Survivors include his wife, Doris PUCKETT JONES of the home; two sons, Coy and Scott; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and two sisters, Rose and Mary.

Funeral services for E.J. LEWIS, 90, of Muldrow, were held 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church Muldrow , with the Rev. Tommy Treat and Shawn Money officiating. Burial was in Lee's Chapel Cemetery South of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. He was born on March 7, 1914, in Muldrow, to Fount LEWIS and Lou Vennie (LEE) LEWIS. He died on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005 Fort Smith, Ark. He married Lillie Mae RYAN in Nov. 1937 in Van Buren, Ark. She preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 1993. Survivors include two daughters, Betty and Mary; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby; and two brothers, Fred and Tom. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services for Darla Rachelle McGREW-MORRIS, 45, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ocker Memorial Chapel, with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. She died on Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, in an area hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Ashley; three sons, Jason, Travis and Steven; four grandchildren; her father and step-mother, Robert and Janis McGREW; maternal grandmother, Corene WINSETT; two sisters, Monica and Kendra. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane PEARSON.

Graveside services for Velma RAGSDALE, 93, of Gore, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren, Ark. She died on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in Gore Nursing Center. Survivors include six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis "Bill" RAGSDALE; one daughter, Naomi WEATHERTON; one son, John Robert RAGSDALE; her parents, John and Sarah COOPER; and five sisters, Ann HURST, Winnie GILLESPIE, Lois DAVIDSON, Ines RAMEY and Edna GRIMES.

Funeral services for Nina RUESTOW, 81, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at noon Wednesday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, with burial in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She died on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, in Fort Smith. Survivors include one son, John; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Modene and Herma and Emma Lou.

Mary Jane WALDON SMITH died on Jan. 22, 2005 at her home in Horseshoe Bend Ark. She was born July 15,1934, in Paw Paw Bottoms to Claud Van WALDON and Eunice Mildred SHACKELFORD. Survivors include three daughters, Janie, Peggy and Terry; three sons, David, Brian and Darren; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jr., Garland and John; one sister, Jeanice. She was proceeded in death by her mother; her father; her brothers, Marion "Pete" SHACKELFORD, Jack Lee WALDON, Steven Henry WALDON; and one great-grandson, William COLLINS.

Funeral services for Jessica Lynn VAUGHAN, 21, of Muldrow were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roland Church of Christ, with burial in Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Ark. Graveside services for Mildred L. "Millie" BREWTON, 62, of Lavaca, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. She was born on June 3, 1942, in Muldrow. She died on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, in the nursing home.  Survivors include her husband, Kenneth BREWTON of the home; one daughter, Julie; one grandson; three sisters, Augusta, Katherine and Judy; one brother, Leonard; one step-son, Dana.

Funeral services for John Kenneth CRAWLER, 60, of Marble City, were held 2 p.m. Friday at the House of Praise Church in Marble City, with the Rev. Clifton Pettit officiating. Burial was in Barber Cemetery in Barber, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on July 14, 1944 in Claremore, to Galelia (CRAWLER) BELL. He died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 in Stilwell. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sue Ella (PETTIT) CRAWLER of the home; two daughters, Karen Lynn and Marilyn Sue; two sons, David and his wife, Angela and Kenny Dale; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Helen and Lisa; and one brother, Joe. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Tommy, Coky, Stephen and Jerry BELL.

Survivors include one son, Levi; his mother, Hazel RHODES CLOUGH; two grandchildren; four brothers, Joe, Tom, Mark and Mike; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1938, in Badger Lee Community to Logan "Hobe" Benjamin Franklin JAMISON and Florence Lenola JAMISON. She died on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005 in Sallisaw. She married Harvey LeRoy SMITH on July 31, 1955, in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 2003. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Kay and Kenneth, Linda Sue and John, and Polly Ann and Jeff; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Roger Carl and Anita, and Conley LeRoy, Ricky Allen and Jimmy Clayton SMITH, all of Sallisaw; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Margaret, Rachel, Pat, Colleen and Mary; three brothers, Amos, Bob and Jack; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends Mrs. SMITH was also preceded in death by one grandson, Ricky SMITH.
