Funeral services for Robert "Bob" CHASTAIN, 56, of Van Buren, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. CHASTAIN died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Van Buren. Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; one daughter, Miranda, and her husband, Mark; two step-daughters, Barbara, and her husband, Gary, and Lynn, and her husband, Paul; one son, Jeff, and his wife, Kelsie; one step-son, Arthur, and his wife; one sister, Helen, and her husband, Elmer; four brothers, Paul, and his wife, Jeanie, Joe, and his wife, Charlotte, Jim, and his wife, Sharon, and Ronnie, and his wife, Lanita; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one step-son, John WORKMAN, a brother, David CHASTAIN, and his parents, Ernest and Pauline CHASTAIN.

Funeral services for Wayne STONE, 44, of Van Buren, Ark., are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. STONE died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Norma HAMM STONE of the home; three sons, Jason, Joseph, and Jonathan; parents, Barbara and James; one sister, Brenda; three brothers, Tommy,George and Toby; three grandchildren.

Graveside services for Brayden John STRAUT, an infant, of Gore, were held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. He was born March 28, 2007, in Tahlequah, to Tawny MEGEHEE and Robert STRAUT. He died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in Tahlequah. Survivors include his parents, of Gore; grandparents, Deann YOUNG, Patrick MEGEHEE, Melvin REED and John and Michelle STRAUT; great-grandparents, Frances SCOTT, Robert ROWLETT, Flora and Alfred CROW and John H. STRAUT; great-great-grandmother, Jeanetta WARNOCK; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Joyce Ann HORN JOHNSON, 64, of Sallisaw, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with Rev. Robert L. Povaldo officiating. Burial will be in Fleetwood Cemetery, east of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. JOHNSON was born Feb. 9, 1943, in Lee's Chapel community, to Idas Ray HORN and Ida Belle (GREGORY) HORN. She died Sunday, April 1, 2007, in Sallisaw. She married Cecil R. JOHNSON, Oct. 15, 1966, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death, July 26, 2006, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Glynnda and Brian, and Kelly and Steve; one son, Ronald; five grandchildren; mother; two sisters, Lois, and Sharon; three brothers, J.R., Hubert, and Jackie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by, one sister, Betty Jo MOSS and one brother, Billy Charles HORN.

Funeral services for Daniel L. NELSON, 58, of Justin, Texas, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas, with Bishop Iverson officiating. Burial was in Justin Cemetery, under the direction of DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton. Mr. NELSON was born July 30, 1948, in Jackson, Mich., to LaVern Russel NELSON and Lillis Jean (HULL) NELSON. He died Friday, March 30 2007, in Denton. Survivors include three daughters, Shantel, Kim, and Sharon; three sons, Shane, Eric, and Donnie; sister, Linda; brother, Russell; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Harold R. PLYMALE, 70, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. Mr. PLYMALE was born June 21, 1936, in Ozark, Ark., to Carl and Ethel PLYMALE. He died Sunday, April 1, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include one sister, Wanda and her husband, G.L.; three brothers, Clifford and his wife, Sharon, Curtis and his wife, Sherita, and Bobby and his wife, Darlene; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gurvis PLYMALE.

Funeral services for Jack Alexander ROSE, Jr., 33, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. Mr. ROSE was born, May 11, 1973. He died Monday, March 26, 2007. Survivors include his wife, Louise of the home; his mom, Jan GRINAGE; his brother, James and his wife Tammy; brother, Bill and his wife Carolyn; birth mother, June CARTER; father, Jack ROSE; and grandmother, Bea BARRETT.

Funeral services for Eva Sue TWIST SMITH, 75, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Members in Christ Assembly in Vian with Rev. Robert Buttery officiating. Burial was in Box Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. SMITH was born Dec. 29, 1931, in Salina, to George Twist and Bonnie VAUGHN. She died Friday, March 30, 2007, in Oklahoma City. She married Richard Odell SMITH, Jan. 27, 1948, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death, Aug. 10, 2002, in Tahlequah. Survivors include five daughters, Karen, Doris, Ann, Lorna, and Brenda; one son, Richard; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Wilma, Linda, Geneve, and Bea; and two brothers, Fred and Vernon. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Billy GOSHEN, her parents, two sisters, and four brothers.

Funeral services for W.A. "Smitty" SMITHSON, 84, of Sallisaw, are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw with Dr. David Clewell and Rev. Mike McConnell officiating. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. SMITHSON was born Feb. 22, 1923, near Braggs, to Willis Asberry SMITHSON and Maudie Lee (McBEE) SMITHSON. He died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Sallisaw. He married Anna Doris SUMPTER in Muskogee. Survivors include his wife, Doris of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Wendell, and Pam and Richard; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Don and Wanda, and Rep. W.A. "Bud"; one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Lee and Rev. Mike; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Carol SMITHSON, three sisters, Mary Elizabeth RANDLE, Mandy Alice SMITHSON and Betty Louise SMITHSON, and two brothers, George Washington SMITHSON and Cecil Glen SMITHSON.

Mrs. STEWART was born Oct. 27, 1936, in Marble City, to Daniel Aldan STEWART and Ruby RAPE (CAGLE) STEWART HENDERSON. She died Saturday, March 31, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Trudyand James, and Teresa and James; one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Jackie; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda; one brother, Bill; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dana FIELDS of Sallisaw, her parents, and one sister, Joyce STOOL of Marble City.

Cremation was under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. THATCHER was born Oct. 12, 1935, to H. Marshall NORRIS and Virginia DREW. She died Sunday, April 1, 2007, in Gore. Survivors include her husband, Wayne of the home; three daughters, Kim and husband Maurice, Becky, and Marilyn; three sons, Marshall, WayneJr. and wife Lisa, and Steven; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Lou Jean TOMLIN, 62, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland. Burial was in the Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mrs. TOMLIN was born Oct. 27, 1944, in Bloomer, Ark., to Tommy Lee and Imogene (COOK) WILSON. She died Thursday, March 29, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Tammye and her husband, Don, and Brooke and her husband, Chris; her mother; two granddaughters; two sisters, Colleen and her husband, Buck, and Rosemary and her husband, Mike; four brothers, Tommy K. and his wife, Lucy, Steve, Bruce, and Randy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. TOMLIN, her brother, Mitchell WILSON and her father, Tommy Lee WILSON.

Mrs. TRAMMELL was born Nov. 28, 1946, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Lloyd WILSON and Virgie Ellen OSBORNE. She died Monday, April 2, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Scherron and Faron, and Carla and Jeff; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stacy, and Jeff and Tina; 10 grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services for Bill UPTON, 70, of Muldrow, are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. UPTON died Monday, April 2, 2007, in a local hospital. Survivors three daughters, Gwen, Glenda, and Darlene; one sister, Barbara; one brother, Ray; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan UPTON.

Funeral services for Rev. Harold T. WALTERS, 65, of Muldrow, are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Nicut with Rev. Kenneth Walters officiating. Burial is in Walters Family Cemetery in Nicut, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. WALTERS was born Jan. 28, 1942, in Fillmore, Calif., to Ted J. WALTERS and Irma J. (HAGAN) WALTERS. He died Monday, April 2, 2007, in Stilwell. He married Julie JONES, April 20 1962, in Stilwell.  Survivors include his wife, Julie of the home; one son, Matthew James; five foster children, Billy, Joy, Connie, Daniel, and Samuel; three grandchildren; one nephew; and several cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne.

Burial is in Liberty Cemetery, north of Roland, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post No. 339 in Roland. Mr. BOND was born April 18, 1924, in Liberty community, to John Fletcher BOND and Eva Mae (SUTTON) BOND. He died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Sarah Sue LENNINGTON, June 29, 1953, in Ozark, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Sarah of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Donnie; one son, John Curtis; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Loma, Etta Mae and husband, Laverne, and Anna; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, George, and Calvin and two sisters, Myrtle PREWETT and Maud VAUGHN.

Graveside services for Jess CREAGH, 64, of Pryor, were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Redland Cemetery, southwest of Muldrow with Rev. Jeremy Kelley officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. CREAGH was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Ironton, Mo., to Jesse Randolph CREAGH, Sr. an Helen CREAGH. He died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Pryor. He married Syble PEMBERTON, Aug. 19, 1977, in Muskogee. She preceded him in death, Sept. 3, 2002, in Tulsa. Survivors include three daughters, Karen, Debbie and Linda; four sons, Jimmy, Jim, Randy and Paul; father; one sister, Carolyn Ruth; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.  He was also preceded in death by his mother.

GLASS -- Madge Marie, 83, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007. Born April 18, 1923 in Gore, OK. She grew up in Vian, OK, but lived most of her life in Tulsa. She had 4 daughters, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Orville GLASS; sisters, Hazel CALLAHAN, Beulah SHADE, and Donnie LOWE; brothers, L.C. and George ROBINSON; grandson, Monty MOORE; and sons-in-law, Leland MATTHEWS and Rocky MOORE. Surviving are daughters, Barbara, Doris and Jess, Joyce and Stan, Linda and John; 1 brother, Walter; and 1 sister, Betty. Mr. LEE was born April 13, 1924, in Lee's Chapel community, to Fred Elmer LEE and Maggie Elizabeth (FAULKNER) LEE. He died Thursday, April 5, 2007, in Tahlequah. He married Edith M. BAGLEY, Feb. 5, 1944, in Muldrow.  Survivors include his wife, Edith of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Terry; one daughter-in-law, Dorliss; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, George, Raymond, Arthur, and Joe; five sisters, Patsy, Martha, Mary, Marilyn and Tennie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Fred Duwayne LEE in 1984, his parents, and three brothers, Robert, Jack, and Ronald LEE.

Survivors include five daughters, Tammy and husband Marshall, Connie and husband Kenneth, Darla and husband Randy, Sheryl, and Paula; three sisters, Jane, Nelda, and Lenor; two brothers, Henry and Robert; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Jason Helmbacher officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BAUGUS was born Dec. 20, 1916, in Muskogee, to Charlie H. HOLMES and Jessie Elizabeth (JONES) HOLMES. She died Thursday, April 5, 2007, in Muskogee. She married Ira Earl BAUGUS, Sept. 23, 1934, in Chandler. He preceded her in death, April 5, 2007, in Muskogee. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Mammie BEARDSLEY, Myrtle HAMILTON, Alice KEETON, and Shirley JANKINS and three brothers, Clayton HOLMES, Olen HOLMES, and Raymond HOLMES

Funeral services for Valeda McMAHAN "Grandma Dee" BRYSON, 84, of Gore, are being held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Webbers Falls with Rev. Rennie Ohl Jr. officiating. Burial is in Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. BRYSON was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Braggs, to Looney and Beulah (PETTIT) ESSARY. She died Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Gore. Survivors include three children, John, Brenda, and Gary; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lucille. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Linda JONES.

There are no formal services for Donald Lee CAMPBELL, Sr., and cremation was under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. CAMPBELL was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Baxter, Tenn., to Aurther CAMPBELL, Sr. and Carrie Ruth PATTON. He died Friday, April 6, 2007, in Sallisaw. Mr. CAMPBELL was a painter. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (ANGLEN) CAMPBELL of the home; two daughters, Vicki and Shannon; three sons, Stephen, Donald Lee, Jr., and Michael; one sister; five brothers; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Gene DAILY, 68, of Gore, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Emmanuel Family Worship Center in Braggs with Rev. Jack Carner officiating. Burial was in Greenleaf Cemetery in Tahlequah, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. DAILY was born April 6, 1939, in Cherokee County, to Earnest DAILY and Mary (MANNON) DAILY. He died Friday, April 6, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Pat DAILY of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, J.E., and Carroll and Kathy; five grandchildren; three sisters, Pearl, Joyce, and Sue; one brother, Joe; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife of 43 years, Bertie DAILY, and a son, Harold Gene DAILY.

Chester DRUM, 93, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2007 at his residence in Gore. He was born May 16, 1913 in Moody, Cherokee County, Oklahoma to Kah Tah Yah YOUNGDUCK (DRUM) (AGENT) and Ground Hog DRUM. In 1940, Chester and Mattie WILDCAT married. Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie WILDCAT DRUM, daughter, Pauline DRUM; sons, Leon DRUM, Luther Jay DRUM, Jesse Lee DRUM and Billie Ray DRUM. He is survived by four children, Betty and her husband, Clarence, Corinna, Chester Junior and his wife, Brenda; Geraldine and her husband, John, and Johnny Glen and his wife, Malinda; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins; two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and lots of friends in surrounding areas. There will be a wake at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the DRUM home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Agent Cemetery, Moody, Oklahoma, northeast of Tahlequah, with Rev. Dale Carey officiating.

Funeral services for Madge Marie GLASS, 83, of Tulsa, were held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007, at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow with Rev. Jack Potter officiating, under the direction of Floral Haven of Broken Arrow. Mrs. GLASS was born April 18, 1923, in Gore. She died Tuesday, April 3, 2007. Survivors include daughters, Barbara, Doris and Jess, Joyce and Stan, Linda and John; one brother, Walter; and one sister, Betty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville GLASS, sisters, Hazel CALLAHAN, Beulah SHADE, and Donnie LOWE, brothers, L.C. and George ROBINSON, grandson, Monty MOORE, and sons-in-law, Leland MATTHEWS and Rocky MOORE.

Burial was in Box Cemetery, north of Vian, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. HENSLEY was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Blackgum, to Gillie and Melvin (TALLEY) RISLEY. She died Thursday, April 5, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her children, Suphronia, and Elmer, Wyvonia, Irvin, Forster, and Marchelle, Jerrie, and Robin; two sisters, Caprice and Dixie; one brother, Bob; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Burial is in Cowlington Cemetery, east of Keota, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Cowlington, to Harry Morton HIGGINS and Laura Mae (LOWERY) HIGGINS. She died Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one niece, Barbara Jean; and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. MARSHALL was born July 20, 1956, in Dos Palos, Calif., to Robert Louis DRAKE and Bobbie Sue (GRAY) DRAKE. She died Monday, April 9, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two daughters, Erika and Jordan; one son, John; mother, Bobbie DRAKE; three sisters, Susan, Janie, and Vicki; one brother, Bob; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

Graveside services will be held in Stilwell City Cemetery, at 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, under the direction of Greenwood Mount Olivet Funeral Home of Fort Worth.  

Funeral services for Wilma Louise MOSLEY, 81, of Coolidge, Ariz., were held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at the Simes Mortuary Coolidge Chapel with Elder Derrick Jordan officiating, under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. MOSLEY was born July 9, 1925, in Fort Smith to John SHEPHERD and Daisy LINCOLN. She died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in Coolidge, Ariz.
