CALLED TO REST
On last Saturday morning August 11th death visited the home of Mr. W. E. Johnson and claimed the wife and mother Mrs. Jennie Johnson.
For several months Mrs. Johnson has suffered from pallagra and little hope for her recovery has been entertained. She has been constantly under the care of the most skillful physicians and loving friends but realized the seriousness of her condition and the uncertainty of her recovery.
Mrs. Johnson for many years has been a faithful member of the Baptist church and her exemplary life has won the love and confidence of all who knew her.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson have been married more than thirty years and their home was blest with five children three of whom are living and were present during their mothers illness. Homer C. who now lives in Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Gates Carlisle and Myrtle.
Services were conducted from the Baptist church at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the pastor Rev. Thompson assisted by Rev. Brantly and Darrow. Interment at Odd-Fellows cemetery. |
