Bevans News

Mothers Day was observed at Bevans with a Sunday School program and dinner on the grounds. Singing and preaching was held in the afternoon.

About half of the pupils were absent from school Monday. They were afraid of catching the mumps.

We only had one day of school last week. Our teacher, Miss Edna Fleming, was ill with the mumps. We are glad that she is able to be in school this week.

We had no school here Thursday and Friday on account of Miss Fleming holding examinations. Annie and Edith Ballard, Lewis Poe, Marney Snow, and Jewell Mae Fleming took the examinations on Oklahoma History.

Misses Edna Fleming and Clara Gilstrap went to Antlers Friday night to witness the senior play.

Jewell Mae Fleming left Friday for her home. We regret to lose her.
