MRS. ZELPHA BARTON
Mrs. Zelpha Mae Barton, 72, who had resided at Quapaw nursing
home the past two years, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Miami Baptist hospital,
where she had been a patient since Monday.
Born Aug. 14, 1902 at Turkeyford, Mrs. Barton had resided in
the Commerce area most of her life. She attended Pentecostal churches.
Surviving are five sons, Royal Barton of Oklahoma City, Lawrence
Barton, Phoenix, Ariz., Loren and Wib Barton, Commerce, and Rubin Barton,
Miami; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Stogsdill, North Miami, and Mrs. Vivian
Smith, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Cox, Springfield, Ore., and
Mrs. Lola Dillard of Idaho; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by the Jim Thomas & Son funeral
home, Commerce.
The family will be at the Larry Stogsdill home in North Miami.

BARTON FUNERAL
Last rites for Mrs. Zelpha Mae Barton, 72, who died Thursday,
will be held at 10:30a.m. Monday in the Jim Thomas & Son chapel, Commerce,
with the Rev. H.R. Gabriel officiating. Interment will be int the GAR Cemetery,
Miami, OK.
Pallbearers will be Bussie Corbus, Bill Rogers, Ivan Shouse,
G.W. Roberts, Joe Larkin and M.K. (Butch) Garrette.
