Loretta Ruth McFarland, of Bethany, OK passed away January 16, 2001. She was born October 21, 1922 in Portland, Oregon to Ben and Marie Gates. She married Herbert McFarland October 18, 1946 and they lived in Bethany, OK for over 50 years. She was a devout member of First Baptist Church of Bethany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her husband and a son, Arthur Ray McFarland.

She is survived by a son, Terry Dean McFarland; cousin, Clara deCordova and husband Kenneth; sisters in-law, Pat Gates, Naomi Lackey, Peggy Berry and husband Melvin, Mildred Michael and husband David. Loretta had many other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2001 at Bill Merritt Chapel, 6201 N.W. 39, Bethany, OK, with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
