Rena Smith was born January 1, 1927 in Nyack, NY, to Battista and Josephine Rusconi. She died Thursday, August 16, 2007.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie B. Smith; daughter, Linda L. Rusconi; son, Alan J. Smith and wife, Michelle; step-daughters, Anita and husband, James Peters, and Kathy Griffall; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Rena married Johnnie B. Smith in 1959. After serving 10 years in the U.S. Air Force, she became a full-time mother and homemaker and lived in Nicoma Park for 35 years.

Graveside funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice./15/2008 at the First Baptist Church of Nicoma Park with interment at Arlington Cemetery.
