Walker, Marilyn "Lynn" Darlene, went to be with her Lord on September 21, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lynn fought her battle with a determination that inspired and amazed those around her. Some in this life are required to endure a heavier burden and Lynn carried her burden with quiet strength and dignity. Lynn was born December 31, 1937 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Luther and Iona Barnett.

Lynn was preceded in death by: her parents, her brother, Kenneth, her husband, Wayne Walker and her granddaughter, Kristi. She is survived by: her sister, Phyllis Barnett, her four children: David Parks, Sharla Waltrip, Jeri Kay Schimmels and Michael Parks and seven step children: Kathy Miller, Johnny Walker, Jennie Beck, Kendall Wiley, Gary Walker, Cheryl Starke and Jeff Walker.

Lynn is also survived by 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Lynn worked as a manager for Kerr McGee/Conoco until ill health befell her. Lynn's hobbies included arts and crafts, gardening and she loved decorating for the holidays. Lynn was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her and all who love her. Services to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at Capitol Hill Baptist Church (304 SW 134th St. OKC). VONDEL L. SMITH & SON MORTUARY 6934 S. Western 634-1439
