Rilla Sartain Hiestand 


Hiestand, Rilla Sartain, born July 25, 1903 in Moro, Il., daughter of pioneer physician, Dr. George W. Hinchee and Hattie Hinchee, who were long time residents of Okla. City, died June 23, 1988 in Phoenix, Az. Mrs. Hiestand was a retired executive secretary, having served many years at Tinker Air Force Base in OKC. She attended Okla. State University, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was active in the Order of Eastern Star, and served the Amigo Chapter in OKC as Worthy Matron. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hiestand, a well known Denver petroleum geologist. She had no children and is survived by 4 nieces, Martha Gray, Fresno, Ca., Mary Lou Miller, Rye, N.H., Elizabeth Stone, Enid, Ok. and Dorothy Whiteaker, Phoenix, Az. 

She is also survived by a Goddaughter, Rilla Cheeseman, Colorado Springs, Co. 

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2pm, June 28, in the Memorial Park Cemetery in OKC.sssss
