Abraham Marion Macomb (b. 1823, d. abt. 1900) and his wife Mary Margaret Cox

Abraham was in the 40th IA Infantry, Co. C. He mustered in 29 Sep 1862 at Iowa City IA, and mustered out 2 Aug 1865, at Ft. Gibson, Indian Territory. His sons, Marion Scott and Jacob Walter Macomb, both settled in Muskogee County when they were grown. Abraham and Margaret are my gggrandparents. The only Macombs (who still carry the name Macomb) left in Muskogee are descendants of this man, and are also related to me. I have more personal information about Abraham and his children, anecdotal as well as historically factual (related to battles he was in in the Civil War).
