I have read that Jeremiah A. Murray 1832-22 Jan. 1918 died in Ames, OK. Can anyone verify this and name the cemetery? I believe that Jeremiah Murray could have been a country preacher along with his brother Jacob. So, he might not have lived in the area too long. The info I got is that he was buried at a Baptist Church Cemetery in Ames.

Dee Raymond Can anyone tell me the location of a town in OK called Estelle in the year 1904? My great grandfather, William Perry Hobson died on 8 Feb. 1904. His obituary which appeared in the Pratt County Republican newspaper located in Pratt, KS says that he died in Estelle, OK apparently while visiting other relatives with the same last name of Hobson. I'm trying to find out more about his death and who he was visiting. Since his funeral was held in Pratt just 2 days later, Estelle must have been fairly close to Pratt. If that is the case, then Estelle must have been in either Woods, Major, Grant, or Alfalfa counties. However, Estelle no longer appears on current maps. There is an Estella that is in Craig County in eastern OK, but that would appear to have been too far away. Thanks,

Chuck Gibson My Grandmother Was Julia Lorene Davis. Her father was Wesley C. Davis and her Grandfather was Ciscero G Davis from Ringwood, Major Co. Julia married Charles Alfred Gibson 9/19/1927 in Fairview, Okla. Would like more information on Davis Family.

SutherScot@aol.com I am trying to get some information on some of my relatives who moved from Johnson County, MO to Major and Garfield Counties. I have a Rudolph Medley who in the 1920 census lists him as living alone in Garfield County 66 years old. He was married to Elizabeth and had two children-Joseph and Myrtle. The was a Joseph Medley in Ringwood, Major County in the 1920 Census that was probably his son married to an Esther with two children Floyd and Bernice. Another family I have that moved to Garfield County (1920 census) was William B. Helterbrand. He was married to Ida M. and had 4 kids-Minnie (17), Sydma (16), Albert W. (13), and Mildred G. (9). I was wondering if you could find out when they died and if you could get me obituaries for them. The censuses does not list a city for them-just Garfield County. I would appreciate the help! Hopefully your county library has a obituary file where you could just pull them up! Let me know how much you charge. I live in Dayton, OH and can't get out that way too easy. If you need anything from out this way, let me know. Also I have information from Nemeha County, KS if you need anything!
