Married
HOMER C. BROWN of Ryan and MISS NANIE ALLEN of Bowie, Texas were married at the home of and by REV. W. T. FLEETWOOD at high noon Sunday. They will make their home at Ryan.

Family Reunion
On the 21st, the children of Mr and Mrs. ROSS SCOTT met at the family home seven miles west of Ryan to celebrate the 40th anniversary. Mr. Scott was married to MISS SARAH LOUISE SCHULTZ in1872 and came to Texas in 1875. There are twelve children, all were present with the exception of four. Those present were: H. H. GRIMSLEY and family, W. R. TALLEY and family of Nocona, Texas, L. J. and J. D. MCCLENDON and families of Oscar, F. C MARMADUKE and family of Ryan, JIM and FRANK SCOTT who live with their parents. There were thirty-one present and all report a very enjoyable time.

Slumber Party
Tuesday night, ten of Ryan’s girls enjoyed an all night party at the home of MRS. W. M. KELLER in honor of MISS MARGUERITE WILLIAMS of Nocona, Texas. Games of all kinds were played until a late hour, refreshments were then served after which music was rendered by different ones present. They retired at an early hour in the morning and all ‘in fancy went west.’ Those present were: ALTA BROWN, LUCILE TRUE, GERTRUDE MILLER, EFFIE KEHOE, BOBBIE EPPERSON, CORINNA HORTON, EDNA FLEETWOOD, INEZ ROGERS, MARGUERITE WILLIAM,S and the hostess DOLLIE KELLER.

A.R. PORTER of Grady was here.

JOE DOUTHIT of the Texas side was here.

HAMP THOMAS of the Grady vicinity was here trading with our merchants.

HOMER HENDERSON is down from Duncan visiting the homefolks.

W. H. SPARKMAN shipped a car of hogs.

W. T. WELCH of Oklahoma City is the new prescription clerk at the PURVIANCE drug store.

C. J. LONGEST of Petersburg was here this week Mr. Longest has some horses on display at the fair.

WILLIAM GROVES of Phillips was here visiting his sister, MRS. M. A PORTER and other relatives.

ELBET SPARKMAN and wife were visiting family here his week and attending the fair.

MRS. CHESTNEY, the night operator for the Pioneer Telephone Company, visited friends at Waurika.

W. D. MILLER, FLOYD CAIN, and GEORGE KEY were in attendance at the Holiness meeting at Bowie.

J. H. BARNETT and wife at Whitewright and MRS. W. S. RUSSELL of Sherman, Texas are visiting M. H. BARNETT here and taking in the fair.

MISS BIRDIE MONTGOMERY returned from a visit with her mother before taking up her school duties at Rush Springs.

MS. MARY DESSON and son of Waurika visited her parents, Mr and Mrs. W. R. BROWN.

D. A. RAY of the Jefferson Hotel returned from a business trip to Whitewright.

GEORGE HUGHES severed his connection with the Leader and leaves next week to attend Baylor University where he proposes to finish his law degree.

FRANK KELLER and FRANK WRAY returned from a trip to Colorado.

SEBORN REED of Fleetwood was taking in the fair and trading with our merchants.

JOHN LESTER and wife of Majors Ranch were here last Thursday.

CHARLES GLENNY of Byers was the guest of his sisters, MRS. D. L. MORRIS, MRS. J. A ZACHERY, and MRS. G. MAYS.

J. A. MARTIN, employed with the Rock Island at Waurika roundhouse, was here visiting his cousins, GEORGE HUGHES and mother.

MRS. FRED HEMPHILL of Dallas was visiting her parents Mr and Mrs. W. A. WALKER.

ERNEST WHITFIELD of Fort Worth is running the City Restaurant for H. T. LEWIS, who holds a position with the Ice Company.
