I'm looking for any information on my grandparents, William L.& Georgia Watkins and their two sons William S. & Walter Hudson. We believe that the two sons were in the Cornish Orphanage in Ringling, OK about 1917 to 1925 time period. William Watkins, the elder, ran a pool hall in Pontotoc County, probably in the town of Allen in 1910. Any info you h ave on these people; the town of Allen; or the Cornish Orphange would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for Lula Ella JORDAN and her brother Commodore (yes, that is his name). Lula named one of her children after him. She was born abt 1878 or so in OK, some say around Chickasaw (spelling) area. I assume that Commadore is older. They wer e orphaned and she was said to have been raised in Buckners Orphanage in Dallas area, but I have checked and there are no records of either of them. Commodore lived out his life in Beaumont, CA area and Lula married Joseph Wallace SLATE and lived in Fort Worth area. I have been unable to locate any records or proof of existence of Commodore, other than family members recalling his visits. I find Lula only after her marriage.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am beginning to wonder if Jordan is really their name--although on death cert. it is shown. I wonder about Commodore - some say he was a gambler in CA, maybe he "hid" from records?!?!?! I would think Commodore wo uld be a family name, perhaps his mothers or maybe some one held that title? Thanks for your help.
