S. attorney general, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday July 20,1968 at the Stufflebean Funeral Home chapel. He died Thursday July 18. Henderson, 95, was a local Republican leader and pioneer lawyer. He came to Pauls Valley in 1899 as a school teacher and opened a law practice two years later. Henderson served as Pauls Valley postmaster several years prior to 1923, when he was appointed counsel for the alien property custodian in Washington, D. C. Henderson later was appointed a special assistant to the U. S. attorney general and remained in Washington until 1933, when he returned to Pauls Valley and his law practice. He was honored in 1962 by the Garvin County and state bar associations for 64 years of practicing law. Henderson belonged to the Baptist church. He is survived by a son, Jim Henderson of Lindsay; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Hodges of Fayetteville, Pa., Mrs. Frances Stutler of Lindsay and Mrs. Ragna Blake of Pauls Valley.
