Garvin County Obituaries - Bruce Keesee Submitted by - Dennis Muncrief mudman@cableone.net Services for Bruce Keesee, 50, Lexington were held Friday, Jan. 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lexington with Rev. Dale Kirkhuff officiating. Interment was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. He was born on July 12, 1952 in Pauls Valley to James Wesley Keesee and Carletta Margaret Farley. He died Monday, Jan. 20 in Midwest City. On October 11, 1983 he married Stephanie Ann Hooker in Wichita, Texas. He grew up in Pauls Valley where he attended school unit the 10th grade. In 1968 his family moved to Oklahoma City and he graduated from Western Heights. He had a love for sports and actively supported his children while they were in school. For nearly 10 years he was president of the Lexington Little League. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and was an avid OU fan. He was employed by the Department of Corrections for several years and from 1983 to 1990 he worked with the Purcell Police Department as an officer. For the past 13 years he had worked in automobile sales. For the past two years he had been a manager for the Hudiburg Auto Group School. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Keesee, of the home; his mother, Carletta Thompson, Lexington; two sons, James Keesee and his wife,Robin, Lexington and Derek Keesee, Norman; one daughter Stephanie Rene Gentry and her husband, Gary, Purcell; three grandsons, Mike Gentry, Haden and Zachary Keesee; four sisters, Melinda Grider and her husband, Mike, Davis, Melody Dunn and her husband Randy, Newcastle, Dawn Edwards and her husband,Tim, Lexington, Melissa Womack and her husband, Matt, Sulphur and a half brother, Wesley Keesee, Walters. He was preceded in death by his father, James Keesee and step father,Donald Thompson,Pallbearers were Gary Gentry, Tim Edwards, Mike Grider, Randy Dann, Matt Womack and Ralph Farly. Honorary bearers were his many friends and co-workers. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
