Private Company H, 15th Texas Cavalry Born April 29, 1838 in Arkansas Died June 18, 1904 in Brady, Chickasaw Nation, I. T. Buried in Klondike Cemetery, northwest of Wynnewood, Oklahoma James was in Hunt County, Texas, where he married C.A. on December 23, 1858. The Wynnewood census of 1900 gives her name as Clara C.. On Clara's widow's application she gives her current address as Murray County, her post office as Davis. She says he served in Co. H, Colonel Sweet's Regiment, First Cavalry, then later infantry. The information listed at the beginning of this bio is taken from the Confederate Roster.
