Vol 1 of "Spanning The River", Dewey County Family History Book published in 1976, page 455, Willet-Moore family of Riley and Camargo, Submitted by Jessie Soliday Moore, granddaughter.

John H. and Minerva Willett were among the early homesteaders of Dewey Co. Their homestead was actually in the SW corner of the Section where the Riley Cemetery is located. They came from Smith Center, Kansas with four daughters and a son: Will Dickerson, Sylvia (married Buck), Jessie (Trumbull) and Judy (Johnston). Later daughter Harriet (married Fred Soliday) and husband came to Dewey County after selling their homestead in Rooks Co., KS.

Quote " When they (Harriet & Fred Soliday) arrived the sick father (John) had died and his is one of the early graves in the Riley Cemetery. They lived with their mother (Harriet) until her death in 1906."

Grandma Willetts is Minerva Willett and the tombstone was evidently either carved wrong or read wrong. This story will document and verify the date of the newspaper.
