Franklin School
About 3 miles south, 2 1/2 miles west of Porter Hill

     Franklin was the largest of three schools and possibly the first of District # 126.  Franklin was located in the middle
of the school district with New Hope in the western area and Hess in the eastern area.  The district was about 3 miles
wide and 8 miles long.  It was in existance in 1903.
     The 3 schools were sometimes referred to as Franklin, East Franklin and West Franklin.
