Is there any chance of getting an obituary from Peggs, Oklahoma from 1918? Or any other records about someone who lived there about that time? I am aware that there was a tornado in 1920 that knocked out the entire town, so I might be pressing my luck. Any help is appreciated :) Here's what I do know: Sarah Margaret (Lawhead) Winters Karr born 29 November 1842 in Pennsylvania married abt 1863 to Frederick C Winters widowed in 1881 married between 1881-1885 to Noah Logan Karr died 28 February 1918 in Peggs, Oklahoma buried 02 March 1918 in Miami, Oklahoma (GAR Cemetery) Census info: 1870 Mill Creek, Clarion, Pennsylvania 1880 Garden, Cherokee, Kansas 1885 Garden, Cherokee, Kansas 1900 Buffalo, McDonald, Missouri 1910 Miami, Ottawa, Oklahoma I have her death certificate in my possession, which is what led me to post on the Cherokee county board. Initially I thought she died in Miami due to the census and her burial. Thanks in advance for any assistance at all. --Claire Reply to: http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.northam.usa.states. oklahoma.counties.cherokee/1206/mb.ashx
