Elijah Vian

El Reno Daily Democrat

Elijah Vian, age 78 years, died on Thursday afternoon about 5 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.G. McCain, 517 West Woodson. The remains were taken to the home of the deceased at Yukon last night. Funeral sevices will be held at Yukon Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The deceased is survived by his wife and 10 children, who are Mmes. Chas. McCain, El Reno, J. A. Thompson and Allie Renfrow, Yukon Sadie Cochran, Elk City, Maude Cole, Ft. Worth, Texas; Messr. Frank, John, Charley, Ben and Earl Vian, all of Yukon. Three children preceded their father to the Great Beyond. Elijah Vian was born in Knox County, Ohio, subsequently moving to Kansas where the family lived until eighty-nine, when he took up a homestead near Yukon, where he lived until a short time ago. His death was due to complications of old age. The deceased was a good citizen in every respect and was well thought of by all who knew him.
