Rites Held Friday For J. C. Veal

  Funeral services for J. C. Veal, 73 years old, who died Thursday 
morning at his home in Colony were held at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon 
at the Columbian Memorial Church in Colony, conducted by the Rev. 
Paul Townsend, pastor. Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery.
  Mr. Veal who was born in Alabama March 26, 1873, had been a 
resident of Oklahoma since he was 14 years old and had made his 
home in Colony during the past four years. He was married to Miss 
Mattie Stanford at Durant in 1910.
  He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ona Rhoads of Colony 
and Mrs. Wilson Walker (* Ruby Veal)   of Sayre; and four sons, Ervia 
Veal of Colony,   C. C. (* Charley Clayton) Veal of Terral and S. A. 
(*Samuel Alvin) and Harvey Veal of Vernon, Texas.
