OK Obits ================================================= ELIZABETH (LYONS) CHAMBERS Not sure of the Newspaper, May be the Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Caddo County, Oklahoma Saturday, Nov. 17, 1956 Died: Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1956 CHAMBERS FUNERAL IS HELD MONDAY AT CARNEGIE CHURCH Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Chambers, pioneer resident of Carnegie, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the first Christian church with Rev. Van D. Upon, Pastor, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Pitcher Funeral home and burial was in the Carnegie cemetery. Mrs. Chambers had been ill for about a year and a half and passed away early Saturday morning in the Curd Clinic. Elizabeth Ann Chambers was born July 14, 1875 in Peoria, Ill. and moved to Wichita, Kansas at the age of 13. She attended the University of Wichita and married Clarence Chambers October 16, 1898, in Wichita. Mr. and Mrs. Chambers came to Oklahoma in 1902, locating on a farm south of Carnegie. After remaining on the farm two years they moved into town. Mr. Chambers owned and operated the Chambers Hardware Store until his death in September, 1951. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. E. E. Reynolds, Carnegie; three grandchildren, Mrs. E. H. Cooper, Tampa, Fla., Mrs. E. A. Sanders of Atoka, and Harold Ambler of Billings, Montana; three great-grandsons, and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Liming of Hollywood, Calif. sbumitted by Tim Chambers
