Lightner Notice of whose death appeared in these columns last week, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lightner, living eight miles south of Anadarko. He was born October 12, 1919 and died August 25, 1920. His remains were buried in the Anadarko cemetery, Aug. 26, preceded by a touching sermon at the grave by Rev. W.E. Robinson. Mrs. E.W. Jones, a sister of Mrs. Lightner's, called on the Tribune last Saturday, and, in terms of love and highest esteem for their neighbors told us how kind and considerate they had been in extending aid and sympathy to the Lightner family. She accentuated the wealth of beautiful flowers which were brought by them on the occasion of the funeral services. Mrs. Jones requested that the Tribune print a Card of Thanks Covering the foregoing points and stating how grateful the relatives of the little one who has passed away are for these manifestations of love and sympathy. This is one herewith. The Card of Thanks is signed by Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lightner; Marvin's Brothers, Ray, Roy and Eddie; the children's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Sherritt; and Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Jones. The Anadarko Tribune H.M. Tilton and Tate Tilton, Editors and Props. W.S. Tilton, Associate Editor REPUBLICAN TICKET For President---Warren G. NUTTER returned Saturday from Stillwater, where he spent a week at the Farm Congress. Since the fair catalogs are out, we hope every club boy and girl will make a special effort to go over the club list carefully and exhibit the very best of this year's work. Co. Supt. Scism and L.L. West were attending sessions of the Farm-Congress at Stillwater the first of last week. Ed Reger of Hydro was among other Caddo county visitors. Miss Vera Miller returned Monday from the A&M College, where she took a course in special features of Home Demonstration work. This consisted of plans for fall and winter work for clubs, fair exhibits, and judging of fair exhibits, rural-home improvement, utilization of dairy products, rural sanitation and other ery interesting features of Agricultural Extension work. Binger district fair will be held Sept. 1st to 3rd. A very good exhibit is expected. =========================
