OK - Newspaper Andarko Tribune Submitted by Sandy Miller ========================================================================= 21 Mar 1902 Bound Over to Grand Jury Ed Stengner, the young man who killed Martin Miller with a neck yoke at the mining camp about 15 miles southeast of this city, on the lst of March had his preliminary hearing before Justice Arends in the district court room Tuesday afternoon. The case occupied the whole afternoon and the end was not reached until late in the evening. Col. R.B. Forrest, of El Reno, appeared for the defendant and County Attorney Crosby and L.E. McKnight, prosecuted. A number of witnesses were examined and the evidence justified the retention of the young man under bond of $2000 to await the action of the grand jury. ============================================================================ 21 Mar 1902 The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Miller, living in the country a few miles southeast of this city, died Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Miller are highly respected in the community and have the sympathy of their neighbors. ============================================================================
