FOSTER McKEE came as a shock to his many friends who mourn his untimely passing. He left his home early Tuesday morning with the intention of going to the Spring Creek gin where his son Homer was working. Then a message came he was dying, 1 1/2 miles north of his home. Friends rushed to his aid, but it was all in vain. It was possibly despondency over ill health that caused deceased to administer self-destruction. Those who must remain are never ready to give up their loved ones. What comfort have I now to give to soothe the hearts to which has come that grief which makes it pain to live and darkens every path, and seems the end of all our happy dreams. Be brave and know that never will he suffer again. He was born May 15, 1879 at Pickens, South Carolina. He died Oct. 23, 1928 near his home, five miles east and one mile south of Gracemont, Okla. He was married to MISS DENTON HINES Dec. 11, 1904. To this union were born nine children, of whom eight are living. He leaves to mourn his wife, five daughters, three sons, three brothers, one sister and a host of friends. Comfort them, and enable them to prepare to follow him who has gone before to the better world, where God wipes away all tears. Funeral services were held in the Gracemont Baptist church Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., and interment was in Gracemont cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all who assisted in the memorial services. -- MRS. F.M.
